1st time hearing this band and for a moment I thought it was the Prog band by the same name but quickly realized it was not them. Liked all of it and will be back tracking their other albums....

What a great album, classic Santana sound with new found 17 year old guitar prodigy Neil Schon adding some sweet licks. When Journey was 1st formed this is the sound that Rollie & Schon wanted the band to achieve. After a couple albums Rollie wanted help on the vocals so they invited unknown Steve Perry to join and little did they know he would take over and send the band in a completely different direction. Not to get too sidetracked but that 1st Journey album with Steve Perry is a rock masterpiece, I saw them at a festival in 78 with this line up, that included Ansley Dunbar on drums, and they were the best group on the line up. 2nd album I have heard from them and the same thing happened. Liked the first side did not like the 2nd.... I just don't care for the vocals.

I was watching the most influential thrash metal album video of band members and this one actually popped up. I was thinking this had to be a joke but I had not listened to it so maybe I was really missing out on something... Nope, I wasn't. This was actually the worse Overkill album I've heard and did not like much of it. Now, I would put Overkill's "Taking Over" album on a top 20 Thrash album list!!!!!

I don't know why I listened to this. i have mellowed out a lot since my younger years so maybe I thought I could like it.... but, no... did not really like this one. It seemed like they were taking heavy metal riffs and then just putting their lyrics over it and it just did not sound right. Crazy Train is Crazy Train not this....

I eventually was going to listen to this album but stayed away because of the long track..... Now, I can do long tracks I love Tool but Sleep takes it to another lever with a 63 minute track and it does not really change that much throughout the song..... They had specially built amps and when they played nobody was able to be in the same room with the amps as they were way too loud. The long was so long that they had to have 3 different reel to reels to record it. The best part of the song is on the 3rd Reel.
