I'm new to the band's music and I hear that they have changed direction a bit.... well, they do have a newer lineup and what we have are 7 tracks that all run into another with a monolithic spacey vibe. 4 of the tracks are instrumental. I liked 6 of the 7 with 2 heading to my playlist. I am curious to hear the older more fuzzier stuff in the band's discography.

Was not a fan of Dream Theater back in the day but now that I am more into Prog I can better appreciate the complexity in what was going on in this album. This album was probably a bit too long as I did not like the last three tracks as much as the rest of the album. Some great tracks on this one and this album actually ranks highest of the Dream Theater albums I have heard.

Even though Overkill does have an album that is in my top 50 of all time for the most part there albums rate about what this one did here. Overkill is still in your face thrash and those who like that type of Thrash will like this one. I did like 6 of the 10 tracks on this one but nothing great for me.
