Anyone who thinks that PM wouldn't compete at the highest levels of D1 with the team they've had the last couple years either doesn't know basketball or just blinded by hate.
I know they used to try and have the crew not be from the area of the participating teams... but I'm guessing the gas/travel costs have made it so that's less of a thing nowadays.
Never knew teams could play on their home floor in regionals... kinda an odd rule since they aren't allowed to during districts (at least not up here).
Rotating finals will never happen and I can't blame the OHSAA for not wanting to do it... it's hard enough to plan events like this in one location never mind four.
Some random thoughts on the RPI...
1) This system will make coaches schedule teams that have good records against bad teams and not schedule tough games
2) The system hurts league's top teams and helps those in the middle and bottom. The opponent's strength of schedule is brought to the middle...
How would starting earlier help with the other sports? It'd have the opposite effect if anything. The numbers issue is not a timing of the season thing. It's too many coaches demanding sport specialization and too many people falling for the lies of "guaranteed college scholarship" money.
Yeah difference in game imho wasn't Jackson's perimeter shots .. those are expected. The one guard getting to the rim at will most of the night was the difference maker.
