    Midwest Athletic Conference 2022

I did ours this year just to see. We travel to Wauseon, Bryan, Tinora, Antwerp, and Hicksville this year. to Wauseon - 33.6 miles to Bryan - 8.5 miles to Tinora - 15.2 miles to Antwerp - 18.3 miles to Hicksville - 12.1 miles Grand total (round trip): 175.4 miles

    Green Meadows Conference 2022

I think it's Antwerp's title to lose this year. 3 year starter at QB and returning quite a bit. I would have picked Tinora until the Commisso kid transferred to Defiance. I think that loss tips the scales to Antwerp. Ayersville is my dark horse this year, but they have a new coach (who I do...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

3 days later and I still don't think a lot of people have actually figured this one out.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

I think this would be ideal. I want to complain about the 42 minute drive to PH from Fairview but I know I'm just spoiled currently with how geographically close everything is and Sherwood being basically dead center in the GMC footprint.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

Honestly, I had completely forgot about Edon and knew NC was starting varsity this year. Between the two, Edon would definitely be the better pickup.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

I do think it would give both leagues a lot more security. If one or two teams start exploring other options or start struggling with numbers, you're conference isn't immediately at death's door. There are a lot of historical rivalries across the leagues too. (LC/Tinora, Wauseon/Fairview...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

If you go back about 6 months and 100 pages I actually suggested a GMC/NWOAL merger with a big/small school division and got flamed pretty hard for it. I didn't think it was an actual possibility but the hypotheticals are fun to consider if nothing else.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

I don't think they would leave at all, but if they were I don't think Ayersville going or staying would stop them. The rivalry with us is bigger than the Tinora/Ayersville rivalry at this point really. GM dwindling in Defiance has really hit Ayersville hard. Haven't shown any interest in...

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

Only way I could see any interest would be if Antwerp or Ayersville started having trouble fielding full football teams. I think we're still 5 or more years away from that possibly though. EDIT: Or maybe if someone managed to poach Tinora, but I really don't think they would leave.

    Northwest Ohio Realignment

I agree with this. They would beg for a GMC invite before joining the NLL. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Bryan just can't compete with equally sized schools.

    NWOAL 2022

I would think Wauseon has to be the favorites with McCloud and Sam Smith both returning? I think the Dominique kid at RB for Archbold kept looking better and better as the season progressed. Excited to see what he does next year. Can't ever count out LC or PH either. Is it August yet?

Well Traveled Mauro Returns To Ohio To Coach Fairview

If it isn't Olwin, I think it'll be either Jon McCord (Craig's son) who was our DC and DBs coach this year, or Andrew Mickey who was Rakes' DC when he was here. Mickey wanted the HC job last year and left on kind of bad terms after Mauro got it though so I'm not 100% sure he'll apply. I'd be...

Well Traveled Mauro Returns To Ohio To Coach Fairview

He's getting up there but he's probably in better shape now than he was 15 years ago. That and his twin grandsons being 1.5 years away from high school (and one of them looking like Bob's son reincarnated, only better) makes me think he could give us a decent 6+ years of coaching still.

Well Traveled Mauro Returns To Ohio To Coach Fairview

My "conspiracy theory" is they wanted Olwin back last season but couldn't get him to leave Edon while Gallahue was still there as QB so our AD hired Mauro knowing it would be a 1-2 season deal to keep the seat warm for Bob. I could be WAY off-base though.

Well Traveled Mauro Returns To Ohio To Coach Fairview

When the news broke yesterday I was kind of pissed but after a day of thinking about it, I'm pretty glad he left. I don't think he had what it takes to win any more (his terrible clock management cost us the Wayne Trace game this year) and his offense didn't seem to be clicking with our...

    Bloom-Carroll job is open

Haha, he wore shorts the first couple weeks of the season and you could see it on his leg. Pretty uninspiring as a coach though, and I'm pretty sure it's been like 10 years since he's had a winning record anywhere.

Well, he resigned at Fairview this morning after one 3-7 season. He's all yours if you want him.

A Look Back At Fairview's QB Passing Records...600 Yard Games

Today I learned Sherwood is just northeast of Kenton. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ Also, what the hell is with that sentence structure Dave? Get it together, bud.
