The vast majority of parents paying for their kids to play on these teams are because their child loves playing the sport. Even those good enough to get a scholarship, they likely really enjoy the sport, thus parents paying for something their kid enjoys.

Springfield should not have tried to score. That would have been the smart thing to do. Just like Moeller should not have ran a play so quickly at the end of the first half when they were inside the 5. Gave Springfield too much time and paid for the poor decision.

To be fair they put 13 on Moeller in regulation. Moeller did the right thing and let them score a TD to extend the game after the fumble.

Thoughts on Moellers Defense? Gave us less points to Elder at the Pit than Ed’s. Also had similar results to what the number one defense in the state did against did against St X.

Stats are very subjective though. So I wouldn’t put a who lot of stock in what is out there. Some teams take it seriously, while others give hits even for obvious errors.
