Agree that it is not all on the coach. But it does feel like the last 2 HCs were bad choices and it seems they could be better.
I think it's time for Northwest LSD to consolidate schools. "This is how it's always been" is the motto for getting passed up and left behind, which is clearly the...
I'm not sure that there are grounds to fire Castner. To say he ought to be fired for not winning the GMC is a little extreme IMO. Could Mason find a great coach? Yes. Has Castner gotten a little stale at Mason? Maybe. But this is not college football and he will not be fired if he continues to...
Worst Princeton has played in a long time. Defensive errors were simple, Princeton had people at the point of attack, and just could not tackle Hambrick. Offensively it was horrendous and there is just no other way to say it. The Big Blue bullied the Vikes, and the Vikes had no response.
I'd counter with, they'd have more yards rushing if they stayed committed to the run. According to the GMC site, Vikes are at 4.8 yards per carry on the season. 135ypg Rushing, and a longest run of 75yds. Passing they average 127ypg. with a long of 38 yards. 135 yards rushing is much more...
I disagree. Watching the East game, the offense had great success running the ball. When they dropped back to throw is when they got off schedule and offensive drives stalled. The QB looks like a tough kid and a decent enough athlete, but he does not have the arm talent for throwing the ball...
I'm curious who had you drinking the OH Kool-Aid. And what you expected when you were believing. Feels like the ultimate success at OH is 5-5. Which given the athletes at OH, is an understandable expectation. Surely nobody at OH is believing a GMC title is within their grasp?
I agree with these picks. One thing about Princeton I remember from last season is that they have 3 former head coaches on staff, 2 of which are known to be very good at developing O-Lineman in Rick Haynes and Chuck Warden. I'd like to believe that the O-Line questions will be answered. However...

I'm pretty sure when they say, "Nationwide search" they just mean they got applicants from Kentucky and Indiana. 🤣
I can see some CPS coaches wanting to go there, or any assistant that wants to be a head coach bad enough. Especially if they're headed to the SWOC where they might be able to win...
It may be because a team opted out. But that goes back to the point that of an 8 team region. That situation never happens in an 8 team region where you have to beat some quality opponents and win most of your games to get in.
I do miss the 8 team Regions. Making the playoffs was a significant accomplishment. And you had to schedule quality non-conference opponents and WIN to get enough Harbin points to make it in. Making the playoffs now just takes 1 or 2 wins. Heck, Oak Hills made it one year going 0-10. They have...

DPOY: Nelson or Jarrett from Princeton, Woolfolk from Mason, Bryant from Hamilton. Tight race for this one.
The interception/catch call was a tough one. Watching it live I probably would've called it the same way the officials did. Hamilton had some calls go there way as well. Didn't think officiating was egregiously one sided. Just a great game that went down to the wire. I did not give Hamilton...
