I always find it amusing that IUDOGS includes the weather forecast for a game that is still a week away.....

Not a really smart thing to say but in fairness when a coach is interviewed by a journalist the coach has no control over what they actually print... Coach Slates may have talked to the reporter for 10 minutes and out of all the things he said the reporter decided to print this one quote...

Whether the refs were biased or not, the one stat that MUST get better moving forward is the 18 penalties for 189 yards....

It was hard to tell watching the game on TV but it didn't seem like he played much in the game.... Can someone confirm/refute this?

Top 5, top 10, top 20, top 100..... Who cares? None of that matters one bit... The only thing that matters is playing one game at a time, work to get better each week, do well in the playoffs, and at the end of season people can make these meaningless discussions that mix teams from different...

Yikes.... As I mentioned earlier, hopefully college coaches don't read your rants.... It would be a shame if a fine player did not get recruited because of his father's behavior on an internet message board (and probably other places as well)..... I hope you realize that that does happen...

Hmmmm.... Who do I trust more? The judgement of the coaching staff who are with these young men hour upon hour and want them to be successful and will do what they think is best for the success of the team..... ORRRRR.... a bunch of random posters on the internet who (for the most part) only...

I guess it comes down to what you mean by the word "results"....

There are no "results" from scrimmages.... Just a chance for coaches to evaluate players and get them on video... No game planning... As long as there are no serious injuries every scrimmage is a success....

Holy cow.... the scrimmage just ended about a half hour ago.... My impressions were that it was a typical first scrimmage.... Lots of young players getting lots of reps and getting some good video so the coaches can work on things with the kids.... Didn't appear to be any major injuries...

Just a thought.... As a sideliner my limited interactions with your son have all been very positive... Seems like a very nice and well grounded young man and a fine player... I am just not sure you are doing him any favors by these types of posts on social media... I know that you are not...

The swearing parent in the stands set a great example for the young ladies.... It's just a game.... Geesh..... On a side note, where was this game at? Beautiful weather.....

It is hard to find coaches these days... Dealing with entitled players, crazy parents, and unsupportive administrators do not really make coaching an attractive occupation....

Yup.... It all a part of building depth.....
