Congrats to Walsh on a solid win. Offense is impressive with experienced talent. Both defenses look a little suspect especially the Irish. Seemed like they made no adjustments as another poster stated.
I would be shocked if either team routed the other. This will prolly be the best qb the Irish see all year. Very excited for this one.
Jaws hopefully the Irish are not taking them lightly because this offense is tough and that would be a huge mistake. Go Irish!
Should be fairly solid with a projected starting lineup of Gunther, Bell, Riccardo, Miller, and Will. Will would be the only senior in that group. Not sure of any newcomers who might contribute.
I thought taylor was extremely talented last year as a sophomore. I can only imagine what he's going to be these next two years. I know the offense is always run heavy but when you have someone as talented as he is, he should be targeted at least ten times a game imo.
Seems like alter has some nice size. Almost all of their bigs are juniors? Hard to simulate that size in practice. On the flip side it's usually hard to rebound out of zone. Ursuline does crash the boards well. Hoping for an Irish victory!
Deollo Anderson was a freakish athlete. I remember he was in sports illustrateds faces in the crowd for almost scoring all of his teams points in a middle school basketball game. He was returning kicks for the Irish as a freshman. Making all svc as a sophomore was unheard of during that...
Ytown... this forum is great. Thank you for the information. I look forward to reading each year's summary. Growing up in ytown in the 80s I recall many of these names. Good stuff!
