    2023 College Football Playoff

The new proposed Super D1 may take of all of this, as those lesser B1G schools will have to decide if they want to play ball like the big boys. I'm also not surprised on your stance there, as you didn't think UC deserved their Playoff bid in 2021 either.

I saw that in the basketball forum, which he's in the process of ruining over LaSalle and how they're coached lol.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Probably not, it would be regional like you said re UC/WVU but again, that doesn't disqualify them from Power status. And to be clear, I'm not saying the conference is on the same tier as the B1G or SEC. But they're also not on the same tier as the American or Mountain West. I find it hard to...

    2023 College Football Playoff

A lot of what you have here makes sense, probably too much sense so they'll all find a way to screw it up. Promotion/Relegation is interesting as well.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Most years that is true. This year it is not. The SEC had a losing record out of conference against P5 schools, including going 4-6 against the ACC.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Responded to this the other day and it clearly wasn't what you were saying lol. My fault, here is what you were looking for: 2014 #1 Alabama #2 Oregon #3 Florida St #4 Ohio State #5 Baylor 2015 #1 Clemson #2 Alabama #3 Michigan St #4 Oklahoma #6 Stanford 2016 #1 Alabama #2 Clemson #3 Ohio...

    2023 College Football Playoff

Well the B1G and SEC won't be taking all of those ACC schools. So I imagine they'll end up in the Big 12 or maybe some to the Big East for all sports and Independent for football. I do agree with all of you, that we're moving towards a breakoff with the B1G and SEC, but I think it may come with...

    2023 College Football Playoff

That's fair. But also a little early to say if those two can or cannot sustain success. Part of doing that is keeping head coaches, but when you're in those G5 conferences those jobs are stepping stones. Difference between TCU and Utah is their two head coaches were there before, stayed during...

    Tush Push

Disagree. The NFL wants to ban a play, based off injuries or potential injuries, yet they have all these complaints about the turf fields, specifically Metlife Stadium and they also play games on Thursdays. Convenient to call for player safety with the tush push because most teams hate it and...

No one gives a hoot about Vegas and their Power Rankings. CFP Rankings 16 AP 15 Coaches 16 BCS 14 Also, sure sounds like a helluva lot of excuses as to why they lost to Louisville.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Nonsense. You've still got plenty of P5 schools in addition to the ones who made the jump. They're a better conference than the ACC.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Most years you assume the top 4 ranked conference championship would include the power 4 conferences - ACC, B1G, Big 12 and SEC. The 5th would go to the highest G5 team. I guess on some rare seasons like 2021 you could have the G5 grab a bye, as UC would have been the 3rd highest ranked...

    2023 College Football Playoff

And what does any of that have to do with whether a team should be considered a Power Conference moving forward? What is your definition of national brand? Would you consider Miami FL a national brand? What about Clemson pre 2016? Does Deion and Colorado move the needle enough to be a national...

    2023 College Football Playoff

From my understanding yes. The top 5 ranked conference champions will get a spot, with the top 4 ranked getting the byes. Then there will be 7 at-large spots.

    2023 College Football Playoff

No, absolutely not. If anything was learned by this weekend it's that the committee needs less influence than they have. Auto-byes will be won on the field, similar to how division titles are won in the NFL. There have only been a handful of times since the BCS era where a team outside the top...

    2023 College Football Playoff

Why not? They're adding Utah who won the Pac 12 in 2021 and 2022. They still have Kansas St who won the conference in 2022, Baylor who won in in 2021, Oklahoma State whi finished 2nd this year, TCU who was the national runner-up last year. The Big 12 is better top to bottom than the ACC.

    2023 College Football Playoff

Big difference there was thay undefeated Cincinnati team beat that 11-1 Notre Dame team in South Bend. The Bearcats would have been given the same treatment as FSU IMO had Oklahoma State beat Baylor that year in the Big 12 Championship Game, given that Alabama beat Georgia and both if them were...

    College Football 2023-2024

After today's big middle finger by the Playoff Committee, does the ACC now implode? Was this the final straw for that conference as well? Rumors all over the Internet that teams have been reaching out to other conferences about their options should some of the big players in the ACC jump ship...
