Only Champion individual or team for the SWOTCCCA came as the winner of the DI girls race

Girls are in danger of going back to 2 divisions. The turnout at the district meets was horrible. If OHSAA wanted to they could drop it back to 2 divisions. Most district races, for girls, were underrepresented.

    State Meet Improvements

The tightness of the course is my biggest gripe. I 100% agree with the tightness of the course. The races have gone out substantially faster at Obetz than the racetrack for teams trying to 'get out.' There is no need on the outer loops to make it 4 meters wide in some spots. I would like to...

    State Meet Improvements

Interested in stirring up a conversation on how to make 'our' state meet better. I like to hear ideas from other coaches, hear their preferences and their ideas.

    Best Ohio XC Team EVER?

The crazier part of that story is that Stifel was St. Xavier's #3 runner that year.

    Best Ohio XC Team EVER?

The 1990 or 1991 Caldwell boys team is actually my favorite team I ever watched. I loved watching Hesson (spelling) run.

    Best Ohio XC Team EVER?

1990s Beaumont Girls teams 1996 Beavercreek Girls 2003 Bowling Green Girls 2009 Mag Girls 2014 Centerville Girls Lexington teams from 2017-2020 were outstanding, especially the 1-2 year 2019 Beavercreek Girls- 1-2 in the state was amazing. Minster girls almost every year

Thanks for the transparency. I appreciate feedback and honesty. I actually thought the regional race was excellent at Troy. Although not instant results- I prefer the delay and waiting game because now we know that every finisher is being double-checked by a certified finishtiming official...

    Regional Course comparisons

Milesplit has speed rankings and combined for all 4 regions. I usually do not like their speed ratings because they are not even close to accurate. But this merge I believe they are decent except Youngstown. I think Youngstown is skewed and off by about 10-20 seconds. There is no way that...

    Regional Qualifiers

I just noticed Elder and Hilliard Davidson boys both did not make it to the regional race. Historical programs. What were the longevity streaks for these two programs?

I believe the state of Ohio should have a delay of 20 minutes before posting team results after a race has concluded. Individual results should be live. This would give coaches a time period to challenge a finisher position. This should be a state sanction. I believe Nike uses this method...

Can Mason B & G repeat another double win at DI State meet

Instead of being a constant troll on this forum can you look past your blinders and look at the data? Instead of reacting pause and breathe. If you are unable to look at the socio-economic data of the school systems that excel at cross-country at least peruse book covers at a local xc meet...

    Timing Companies

Does anyone know if the timing companies have updated their software for the district, regional, and state races? The reliability of accurate and on-time results this year has taken a step back.

Can Mason B & G repeat another double win at DI State meet

The sports you listed are not county club sports. Hamilton and Middletown compete with Mason with football, wrestling, basketball, and baseball because economics does not play a role in these sports at the elementary school level. Mason and similar schools (Springboro in Warren County) and...

Can Mason B & G repeat another double win at DI State meet

Other factors to consider: 1-Middle School program and coaches. 2-Parents. No matter how good or bad some coaches are- some kids show up and are 5:00 milers as freshmen. 3- Move-in rate. With the success of the program, it breeds more success. How many families move to Mason over...

State track meet back to Welcome Stadium this spring?

Why not fill the lanes up? This was the question and then answered when JO was 9 lanes and we had 8 in a lanes.

State track meet back to Welcome Stadium this spring?

FYI Seating capacity Jesse Owens- 10,000 Welcome Stadium- 11,000 The most notable difference in the previous setup- the long jump is no longer next to the stands. The long jump has moved to the infield. This will be nice for the visitor's stadium and clogging up the area. Jesse Owens is...

GCL Coed meet schedule for Sat.? Need info.

Pretty much written in stone the order of finish of the South teams 1. St. X 2. Moeller 3. Elder 4. LaSalle I think this is the most notable difference in the four tiers you could put the GCL south teams. St. X is a top 10 team in the state. Moeller around 20-30 best team in the state...

Can Mason B & G repeat another double win at DI State meet

They are running well. They have the team, coaches, talent, depth, and school size (1000 more athletes than any other D1 school in the state). It is extremely hard to win D1 with how competitive it is right now. The D1 boys have anywhere from 10-20 schools that are amazing right now. Look...

    XC Rivalaries

I would say that St. X vs. Mason is a great one right now for boys and the last 10-12 years. It was St. X, Elder, and LaSalle from the mid-1990s to 2012 range. Those 3 battled every year. The best girls rivalry would be Centerville v. Beavercreek girls. Bordering schools are the in same...
