Since we're talking GMC coaching, Jon McCord stepped down as head coach at Fairview today. He told the kids he's staying in as D coordinator and his replacement has been here before, which makes me think it'll either be Bob Olwin or Doug Rakes to replace him.

I think this would be ideal. I want to complain about the 42 minute drive to PH from Fairview but I know I'm just spoiled currently with how geographically close everything is and Sherwood being basically dead center in the GMC footprint.

If you go back about 6 months and 100 pages I actually suggested a GMC/NWOAL merger with a big/small school division and got flamed pretty hard for it. I didn't think it was an actual possibility but the hypotheticals are fun to consider if nothing else.

I agree with this. They would beg for a GMC invite before joining the NLL. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, Bryan just can't compete with equally sized schools.

He's getting up there but he's probably in better shape now than he was 15 years ago. That and his twin grandsons being 1.5 years away from high school (and one of them looking like Bob's son reincarnated, only better) makes me think he could give us a decent 6+ years of coaching still.
