The number of games per week has nothing to do with preparation. The preparation isn't more in football. It has to do with a player's physical recovery. It takes longer to recover after a football game do to the physical contact than from a basketball game.

It is probably the Northeast District Board that made the decision. The OHSAA gives the NEDAB the responsibilities of running sectional and district tournaments. The OHSAA runs the regional and state tournaments.

I did wonder why Brush went to Euclid knowing that St. Ed'd might end up in Cleveland instead of Twinsburg where they would play the Alliance winner?

My guess is that Ed's ends up at CSU so they can avoid Centerville until the state finals. The southwest region plays the northwest region and the Northeast region plays the central region in the state semifinals.

Solon is now the front runner. They have 2 league losses though. They lost to Medina at home and at Euclid in early January.
