Counting I got 28 up and 31 down. Still only 59 total which is less than 10%. Division 3 and 4 are on the same sheet so you can't count them twice.

There is a Cumberland at Wilmington now. Not nearly as good as the others.

There are not a lot of teams moved because of competitive balance. They publish the numbers every year. And AD's have to do this for every sport, not just basketball.

Tradition factor is the answer. I am not sure what the formula is, so many points for every tourney win... or so many points if you win sectional, district, regional, state, etc... and then if you accumulate so many points over a 4 year period (maybe 2 year???) then you are bumped up. I'm sure...

Competitive Balance is a waste of time Very few teams are moved up/down. It's a lot of paperwork for AD's with very minimal action. OHSAA might as well get rid of it and save AD's a lot of time.

I don't think Fairfield wins the GMC again, and I don't think they'll win another district title. So, yes I am saying they will take a step back. I am not saying they will be bottom half of the GMC or lose in the first round of the tourney, just that they will take a step back. It's hard not...

I know Fairfield's sophomore class is good, but I still think they take a small step back. Losing the 3 seniors is hard to replace and counting on a bunch of juniors playing against seniors in the GMC is a lot to ask.

Bingo… Fairfield had some terrible possessions late. And they had 5 timeouts at the time I believe. I don’t think they used a timeout until very late.
