Not if you use a grinder. If UA gets in SHS's way, they're getting mowed down.Bear Meat Too Tough To Eat!

Springfield's famous slogan battlecry is "WHO-DAT!" which came out of the legendary 1984 basketball season. People put that on their letterjackets and it's on the yearbook cover. That works. Moeller's slogan is what can Gold do for you.
He is, & it’s not even close.Thought that kid from Medina that’s a 4 star going to Penn State was the best qb in the state?
Smoot will dazzle in the state tournament. Just watchHe is, & it’s not even close.
You know how to call em JBaller ?Yea, I'm surprised Scott doesn't officially have an offer yet. It certainly seems like he's on the radar for Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and the like. Springfield probably has 8 FBS players currently playing (and probably some sophomores playing small roles who will develop into FBS players) on the team. It's a very talented team, right up there with Lakota West and Pickerington Central. St. Ed's weirdly is only ok on top end talent for a team that could win the D1 title. Moeller is too, but it would be very surprising if Moeller advances another round. Medina and Marysville seem to be one-off teams with talented senior classes and one star player. I have no idea why Upper Arlington is undefeated. They weren't good last year and they don't seem to be very talented.
Those boys have 3 straight regional championships. That's the best pedigree of any team that's left. Could very well be their year.I don't know why no one will believe me when I keep saying this is Springfield's year. A school's history of past championships is irrelevant. Best defense in the state of Ohio.
The irony is the other 3 teams all have state championships. But for these particular teams and players, SHS has the most and best playoff experience. But, there's no guarantee. Mentor and Massillon have been to State many times but never won it all. Even if they don't win Friday, 3 straight regional championships and all the big wins during this stretch is a memorable run Springfield will never forget. I don't think there's ever been a run like this in any sport in the history of SCS, going back to the original SHS. For those of us who grew up during the North-South divide, it makes you wonder what could have been, especially in the '90s.Those boy have 3 straight regional championships. Thats the best pedigree of any team thats left. Could very well be their year.
Dreams are nice, but as a St. Edward fan (and it pains me to say this) your wonderment wouldn't have been pretty. You'd have had to face St Ignatius. Their run in the 90's was unmatched. Look for yourself. Those were painful years for us at St Edward and they would have been equally painful for Springfield (combined or not) as well. The Evil Empire of Ignatius had 7 D1 state titles in 8 final appearances during 11 consecutive playoff runs. For those of us who grew up during the North-South divide, it makes you wonder what could have been, especially in the '90s.
You must not be familiar with the North-South years back then. I'd have been happy with just beating Centerville and Wayne and making the playoffs on occasion. Many times back then, both schools were on the wrong end of lopsided scores.Dreams are nice, but as a St. Edward fan (and it pains me to say this) your wonderment wouldn't have been pretty. It is a consideration. Wouldn’t you agreeBut are you being influenced by how they have 4 or 5 state championships in their history?
Don't expect a response. Like a few others around here, ohioriverboy42 disappeared once his team lost in the playoffs. It is a consideration. Wouldn’t you agree

Eds didn’t agree. But if SHS beats Moeller convincingly, I think they would be favored to win over St Eds assuming they play each other in Canton
St. Edward has some pretty good athletes coming back next year.Eds didn’t agree.
Springfield? They have any good players coming back?St. Edward has some pretty good athletes coming back next year.
7 players on each side. Depending on qb offense could be very good return entire wr score. Defense loses the leadership of Bradley January and Brown but have some young kids that are very good coming upSpringfield? They have any good players coming back?
