Let us face facts, the top 1 percent saw gains of 121 percent under Obama, 65 percent under Bush and 45 percent under Clinton. Obama is the rich man's candidate. In 2008, Obama received more campaign money from Wall Street than McCain and Hillary Clinton. If it is anyone who is not a friend to the poor, it is Barack Obama. Make no mistake about it, the Florida race was about Obamacare. The Republican candidate made Obamacare the main focus of his campaign, he was for the repeal of Obamacare. The Democratic candidate was for "Mend it and Do not End It, the old Clinton mantra. Anyone who tells you that the Florida race was not about Obamacare does not live in reality or is crazy. Obamacare is deeply, deeply unpopular with the American public. If the Republicans have any smarts, they will hit the Democrats on Obamacare, over and over, and over again, until the end of time.

We hear, "The Radical Right." I will submit to you that the Democrats are the "Party of the Looney Left." Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on Obamacare. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream in opposition of the KeyStone Pipeline, Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on "Income Inequality." Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on abortion, where only 12 percent of Americans believe that abortion should be legal in all cases. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on foreign policy appeasement. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on gun control, two Democrats in Colorado were recalled for pushing strident gun control laws. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream in pushing for special rights for members of the gay lobby, potentially violating the religious beliefs of millions of Americans. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream regarding School Choice, where Eric "I am Obsessed with Racial Stats" is suing the State of Louisiana over school choice vouchers not obtaining the pristine level of racial balance demanded by liberals. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream of parents deciding where their child will go to school. Obama and the Democrats are of the mainstream in supporting Union pensions at the expense of the taxpayers. Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream in supporting teacher's unions at the expense of minority children to leave a life of poverty, by walking in the door of a good school to become educated and concerned citizens. Finally, Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream on taxes.

The nasty truth is that Obama and the Democrats are out of the mainstream, time, after time, on issue after issue.......
 
 
Obama is a great friend of the rich, you are dead on the money. This man is about as far from being socialist as it gets. The Fox News propaganda about him wanting to be an income redistributor was dead on the money, except they got one thing wrong. The redistribution was from the 99% to the top of the pyramid. Minor detail.

He'd happily cut off all the food stamps if it was good for the rich, but riots in the street would not be good for the rich, and that is why the food stamp program continues. They are just creating money out of thin air to fund it anyways, which further screws those who are reliant on food stamps as everything they want to buy climbs in price with each round of currency counterfeiting.
 
A "Liberal Paradise" would be a place where everybody has guaranteed employment, free comprehensive healthcare, free education, free food, free housing, free clothing, free utilities, and only Law Enforcement has guns.

And believe it or not, such a place does indeed exist …… It's called prison

You are not so dumb that you do not realize that the small businesses were the ones that got shut down during the pandemic and the big players got to say open, which means they got the business that might have gone to the small guy if he had been allowed to stay open.

Years ago in college it was pointed out to me that the world's billionaires have more in common with each other than their countrymen. Trump IS a "global elite" and a phenomenal con-man. They all got richer and his daughter managed to get some Chinese patents during a trade war.

And if a Democrat had been president instead of Trump would you be reporting how the rich got richer because I do not care who was in office with how the shut down was done the only outcome was what happen. In truth I have a hard time understanding why small businesses were force to shut down but not the big boys. Could it be they had more pull with people in govt that were making the decisions?

I agree on the first point. The uber-rich is something most of us can't fathom. Including knowing each other, their circles, influence, etc.

Is trump part of that group? Probably, at least before he became president.

Those rich getting richer during the pandemic had very little to do with trump though.
