It doesn't matter now. Woodridge took all the suspense out of D2 boys. Everyone is running for second place. Their SEVENTH was 29th. If you take out their first and third they still win. They should get all the first place votes in this week's poll. Can I bet on them via Draftkings?.
A long way to go in the season, but Marlington just squeaked by Bay, so it looks like they may need to get that 1 guy back.
The door is open for Woodridge.
It looks like most of the Boardman D2 regional contenders are at Marlington tomorrow, but not the Bulldogs. Does Marlington have a lot
less depth this year?
Alex Phillip of John Carroll smashed the NCAA Div. 3 record last night at Stanford, with a third place time of 28:31.60
It was the 4th NCAA Div. 3 record this year for the Akron St. V. alumni. (two 5k, 3k and 10k records)
With his two Cross Country titles he may be the best ever in Div. 3
So, if your team places 7th in this race and would have beaten Hawken without the boy OHSAA has deemed ineligible running, you
will need to get before the same judge that they(parents) did to get in the state championship.
The boys's results show they had the same top six at District and conference. They will qualify along with Marlington, Woodridge, West G and CVCA. After those 5 I think it will be either Kenston, Bay or Lakeview.
