Wapak opens with Toledo St.Johns Jesuit

Wapakoneta opens with Toledo St.John’s Jesuit instead of Marion Local. I guess when you’re D3 or D4, you can schedule up or down and it still makes sense.

The current Wapakoneta High School: *Former Blume High School *Cridersville High School *Buckland High School *Wapakoneta St.Joseph High School was open until the mid-1970’s.

No recruiting either.

For the record, it’s the Midwest Athletic Conference. While generally referred to statewide as the MAC (like the Mid-American Conference), the locals in the footprint of the conference generally refer to it as the M-A-C.

Couple thoughts. Marion Local is not a typical D7 school. The number of championships speaks for itself, so the talk of they have “nothing to gain” is ludicrous. Does anyone know who Wapak will be playing? Honestly, an MVL school like Butler, Tipp, Troy, or Piqua would be a good option.
