Northwest Ohio Football Talk

Marc Nave from Central got an offer from Missouri. That is his 15th D1 offer. Thus far he has offers from Akron, Boston College, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Marshall, UMass, Miami OH, Missouri, Pitt, and Toledo.

Should be interesting to see how Perrysburg replaces or adjusts to losing Connor Walendzak. Kid was a stud. Watched several of their games the past two years and he was a force.

I was surprised he chose football over baseball. Baseball has a longer shelf life. Good luck to him either way.

They lose a lot elsewhere too. Zimmerly, Takats, McEwen, in addition to Walendzak.

Marc Nave got an offer from Purdue today. That is his 17th offer. He was at Michigan over the weekend for a visit but hasnt gotten an offer. However, Carter Lowe from Whitmer did get an offer from Michigan.

Impressive. Just goes to show the Toledo area talent is not down nor worse than past years as some here have suggested it is. Multiple kids from multiple schools getting DI looks, and aside from the top dog, it's a fairly competitive field. How many D1 QBs do we have in NW Ohio right now, 4 or 5? Yeah, there's no lack of talent in these parts.

4 or 5 D1 QBs…….. ???? Take away Central and how many of these guys with “offers” will play D1 from NWO?
Take away Central and how did everyone else from NWO do? Big divisions are horrible overall.

Correct, but if Central had not offered these fine young men a quality catholic education they would have been playing for the district they reside in, those schools would have been better off and in most cases they would have still acquired a D1 offer

How many QBs do we have getting offers (not PWOs) in D1? Other than Ryan Montgomery, Brady Ford has one from BGSU, but other than that I'm not sure.

We are having an exponential amount of OLs getting D1 offers: Luke Montgomery from Findlay, Lowe from Whitmer, Nave, Williams, Green from TCC.

Blake Lichtenberg from SJJ is committed to Miami, OH.
Ryan Montgomery from Findlay has offers from Kentucky and many others.
Kaden Holmes is committed to Toledo.

Tywaun Clark is committed to Tiffin. Yes its D2, but still solid.
Mason Heintschel will get some looks as goes into his junior season.

This is just the TRAC. I'd say NW Ohio has some good QB talent.

Mekhi Warren, younger brother of Michael Warren, committed to Youngstown St. I believe he will be a preferred walk on.

Marc Nave from Toledo Central Catholic got his 19th offer today. He is currently a junior and will likely get more.

He has offers from Akron, Auburn, Boston College, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Indiana, Kent St., Kentucky, Marshall, Massachusetts, Miami OH, Missouri, Ohio St., Pittsburgh, Purdue, and Toledo.
