BGSU -C-K-SThis can't be the worst fight song:
Secondary, not primary
BG's doesn't outweird Texas A&M , whose fight song is all about the University of Texas, not even their own school:
Sorry, I didn't see this when I replied.Good stuff. When we would sing Ziggy Zoomba and end with B-G-S-U the opposing fans would follow with C-K-S! Ha!
NP. I assume it still goes on. Too funny! I graduated from BG in 1978.Sorry, I didn't see this when I replied.
Not the worst, but just a bit unusual: Barberton Magics. The name itself isn't too bad, but when we get to this thing:

Did they mean Magic as in "Magic Mike?"
UT in 90NP. I assume it still goes on. Too funny! I graduated from BG in 1978.
OLSD redid their logos/branding, in the name of being more “uniform” (eye roll), and funny you mention it…Olentangy Braves in an attempt to be woke is now the Olentangy Ospreys
After reading through all the posts I've come to the conclusion unique is better. I mean how many Tigers, Eagles and Lions do we really need. I like the fact the Browns don't have anything on their helmets and Buckeye helmets look like they have marijuana leaves. Ha!Browns and Buckeyes are both pretty horrible team names/mascots.
Was it me, or did the original Lakota West logo look like the United States Postal Service bird logo? Also, didn’t Lakota West alter the Wisconsin W to keep using it? High schools that blatantly copy logos drives me nuts more than bad nicknames.I’ll vote for the Lakotas. They took an awesome mascot in the Thunderbirds and put it thru a bad divorce resulting in Firebirds(not a bad name, awful logo) and ThunderHawks.
My grandfather was a Brewster Railroader. They wore green and white. He coached football at both places too.Old Brewster High School before consolidated to form Navarre Fairless were the Railroaders.
Johnson High School was founded in 1959 as a laboratory school to Savannah State. That scientific connection, as well as the time period, played into the origin of the Atom Smasher. Is there a backstory to this one?
Always disappointed that my current hometown, Perrysburg, uses an IMHO lame Yellow Jackets, when the more unique Commodores or even Hazards are there (town named after Oliver Perry)
Well, it's better that the Johnstown Johns. What about the Johnstown Johnnies?

My dad played for the Pretzels. Actually there was a large pretzel factory in Freeport. As an aside, our daughter is a professor at Mary Baldwin Univ. The Fighting Squirrels with Gladys the fighting squirrel as a mascot. All girls until going coed a couple of years ago. Slogan was “Go Nuts” you can’t make this stuff upFreeport, Illinois are the Pretzels due to the German heritage there.
Very small school in PA that doesn't have football are the Commodore Perry Commodores.Perry Local Schools in Lima are the Commodores
Gotta be careful with gender based names in this day and age. Kenyon College Lords and Ladies are no more as of this year. Changed to the Owls to be more gender inclusive.Goes with Wellington Dukes and how the female teams are the Lady Dukes...they should be the Duchesses?!
Also, Brooklyn Hurricanes...because Northeast Ohio is a hotbed for hurricanes
