Walsh is the first team in these Districts to stamp their ticket to Regionals by beating Mayfield 10-1. The game was much closer than the score indicated.
The Warriors just had more timely hitting and clutch pitching. Mayfield had 2 on with a runner on third with less than 2 outs in the 4th and 5th but couldn’t couldn’t bring any runs home. The score was 4-1 at the time.

The Wildcats face Sylvania Northview in the Regional Final.
 
Walsh Jesuit (25-5) plays Kenston (17-8) tomorrow for the Division 1 Region 1 Championship at Louisville.
This is a rematch from the April 21 game at Walsh, won by the Warriors 5-2.

Kenston has scored 17 runs in their 4 playoff games and has given up 7 runs. Overall they average 5.96 runs per game, yielding 5 runs per game.
This is their first Regional Final since 2004. The Bombers will likely have Junior Lefty Parker Munday on the mound tomorrow. Their big HR hitters are Drew McKenna with 2 and LA Mighton with 1.
