State Tournament - Division III

132 seems to be one of the biggest tossup weights, Long is the projected champ but only beat Allen in OT, top 6 here all have legit chance to bring home title. Tyo beat Cribblez(the projected champ) but can see that one being a tight one if they both reach the finals. Kohlhoffer is also a title contender here who would see Cribblez in the semis. Contos and Caprella quarter seems will produce the finalist for Dillon Campbell. Same with Benson/Owens quarter, Benson had a great district run. Just some thoughts at first glance of brackets.

Heavyweight got all shuffled up.
Criblez-Owen likely in the quarters then Kohlhofer waiting in the semis.
On the bottom half, potentially #6 Tyo vs #12(he is worthy of a top 5 ranking)Box in the quarters
#3 Gaines gets a favorable path to the semis

144 Taylor over Dominque
Campbell over Harris
No repeat for Hornish, how often does this occur??

Wouldn’t be surprised if hornish meets Taylor in the finals him dominque and Campbell are all very close he pushed a little hard trying to turn Campbell and put himself in a bad spot In that match and dominque beat him on a bad night with hornish battling a sickness from what I have heard

Very interesting matchup here. Classic shore style of feet wrestling vs Hermes mat wrestling. Comes down to shore needing a few takedowns. That being said, I’ll take Shore
I’ve never thought of Hermes as a mat wrestler but I guess he is getting a reputation of riding guys out for a win. But on his feet he is hard to take down and he is a counter wrestler. If Shore doesn’t take him down in the first period then Max will win. He is very hard to take down. This is gonna be a highlight in D3

Don’t know much about Hermes, but from what I have heard he was a hammer on top. And I know Shore is definitely best in his feet. I agree it comes down to a first period score
