I notice that most BLM activists are "former" something else, which they were failures at.I'm just glad we've reached a pivot. It's now gone from "it's not being taught" to "well yeah, it's being taught but the teacher who says she teaches with a hidden curriculum says parents are able to opt out".
Teach about racial injustice is not CRT, but if it is too hard for students to emotionally handle and confront they are free to leave the classroom.I'm just glad we've reached a pivot. As is the Faux outrage against it. It is being pushed as whitewashing any historical context that Blacks have faced adversity. Happy Slaves then freedom and prosperity.Yeah, CRT doesn't accomplish anything it claims to be out to do. It's a complete bait and switch piece of thinly disguised racial warfare

No, the outrage is completely justified and what's going on now is not even close to being enough.
People want equality under the law and a colorblind society. CRT does not. CRT teaches that as being white supremacy. It's completely about flipping the perceived unbalance of power from whites to minorities (primarily blacks). And they seek to demoralize white people (in this case, children) to achieve that goal.
Teaching a section on the Central Park Five as part of racial justice is not CRT. Good grief!
So it is like the Texas School board inserting language that many slaves liked living on the plantation. In this case, it is because it's being taught through the lens of CRT.
You're simply not bright enough to understand the slight of hand here.

No but you do. LolThe General doesn't have the slightest clue what CRT is
No but you do. Lol
You are so wrong. It’s about teaching how racism led to the racial strife that exists today. Nothing more. It’s not about teaching white guilt. It’s called teaching American History for what it is. Something that has to be done if we are ever to get beyond race in America. How can you teach about segregation without acknowledging the impact racism had on the policies that created segregation, and continue it today? No, the outrage is completely justified and what's going on now is not even close to being enough.

What's claimed to be "whitewashing" is actually just people clapping back at the false history CRT trying to slide into lessons as "real history" - it's not real in the slightest and it provides zero new insights. (Newsflash, everyone in America is aware of slavery and how often brutal it was). But people like you, who have zero capacity to understand the complexity of history and the nuances required to appreciate it, are dumbfounded when people bring up facts that are counter to the narrative. Your only response is to just claim racism. It's pathetic.

Wow! Really? You’re on the right website. It claims to do that. It's lessons however, reveal the true nature. You're not "simply teaching the history of racism" while creating lessons and exercises developed from Critical Theory concepts like intersectionality, white privilege, white fragility, etc.
We can have that conversation without trying to assign guilt to people who had nothing to do with it and sins-of-the-father attempts at retribution.
You're unable to see the aspect of power here, but that's what it's all about. If they were truly about knowledge and understanding, that's where it would end. But it doesn't. Thus, it is a political tool with its own end-goals.
The man with degrees from Princeton, Columbia and the Naval War college is less informed than you on this issue,, ok. Not to mention the 4 stars on his collar,,,,The General doesn't have the slightest clue what CRT is
Laura Ingraham from Fox News graduated from Dartmouth and Virginia Would you say she definitely knows more than you on every issue despite having polar opposite political stances ?The man with degrees from Princeton, Columbia and the Naval War college is less informed than you on this issue,, ok. She is monetizing her audience rage...and she knows it.Laura Ingraham from Fox News graduated from Dartmouth and Virginia Would you say she definitely knows more than you on every issue despite having polar opposite political stances ?
CRT is identity politics, your most important characteristic is your race. The CRT issue is mostly election progaganda...an easy way to get the base fired up. Nothing more. Identity Politics.
GOP sees critical race theory battle as potent midterm weapon

The difference between the two is like one person begrudgingly having to carry a $100 balance on their credit card at the end of the month while the other person thinks it's okay to carry a $10,000 balance. It's not even close between the two sides.Right, because the Republican Party is so fiscally responsible these days now that we don’t hold the White House. It’s hard to not be embarrassed.
Emotional scars ?And I could do this all day long.
$5 million lawsuit claims Farmington schools teacher called student n-word
According to court documents in November of 2019, Marcus was a junior at Central High School, when he received a threat from another student. That's when a teacher, Ellen Ely, intervened by allegedly using a word that has left Marcus with emotional scars.www.fox2detroit.com
Of course it won't and therein lies the problem."...That included a section on the Central Park Five -- the five Black and Latino male teenagers falsely charged with attacking and raping a woman in New York's famous city park..."
I'm sure it will also include a section on the white Duke lacrosse team falsely charged with attacking and raping a black stripper.
OR Jussie Smollett falsely staging a fake hate-crime assault.
...and on and on...
I'm sure equal time will be spent on those false charges, too.
Under Obama the national debt increased by $8.95 trillion. That was after bailing out the country in 2008 from the financial disaster caused by financial deregulation under W Bush. Under Trump it increased by $8.78 trillion without the financial disaster Obama had to deal with. Under Clinton the debt increased by $1.49 trillion, and under W it increased by $4.3 trillion. Sorry, the facts don’t back you up.The difference between the two is like one person begrudgingly having to carry a $100 balance on their credit card at the end of the month while the other person thinks it's okay to carry a $10,000 balance.
