You are correct. It starts “in the trenches.” No question, one of this team’s strengths, will be the offensive line.

So who's in the know that can shed light on who taking the starting QB job this fall for us Tigers?
Right now 5 guys listed on the varsity roll:
Darrius McElroy
Anthony Hillard Jr.
Kalix Collins
Owen Burick
Dre'Shaun Jackson
I’ve heard a lot of good things about McElroy.
I got a chance to watch Burick and he has some potential. If he grew this off season he might be good.
I’d heard a lot of good things about Slaughter for a long time. Hoban played Shane Hamm early and he won 3 state titles. Only our black swarm defense kept him from 4.
I don’t know Slaughter but he’s he’s close and the coaches think he can handle it, I say play the kid and let him grow.

They could work him in here and there to get his feet wet and take it from there. Hopefully won't be (needed) though. I could definitely see as a sophomore though.

Apparently Troy Burick was named HC at St. Thomas so his kids will be going there too.

Two of those are not QBs
So put a runner there. We'll need to pass but nothing wrong w/ run-first given what we got. Which is basically what we had w/ Crable.
Speaking of which, Hartson will have a BIG year, but also interested to see if they get the ball in Lennix's hands at all. He is only the fastest player in Stark and Top 3 in Ohio.
No doubt. More of a projection but sophomore Ta-Shaun Smith is another flier off the state 400M relay team that had a good year at rb.
So our qb is going to be McElroy or Slaughter, any other options?
