I believe so. I believe he was the one before the drama with the other 2 this year. My family members would know of him since he's from Willshire. I believe his wife's family is from Willshire to be exact. Had heard that it was just rumors before and not much since then until the article you posted. I believe his one assistant was the guy who was killed by his wife when he was attacking her in St Mary's a year so back. They've had some crazy things going on for that new wrestling program.
 
Found a couple of things interesting when they were talking to the last 3 athletic directors:

  • Scheduling difficulties just because you are a MAC member. For most of New Bremen's football history, they have been bottom half/basement dwellers in the MAC and yet just being in the MAC has some schools not wanting to play you. Hopefully, this might be one good thing about playoff expansion (hell might be the only good thing).
  • Talking about the league in general how teams are usually voting on items with more emphasis on what's best for the MAC not necessarily what's best for my team. Got to be one of the reasons the MAC is so stable, don't hear many if any grumblings about teams actively looking for other leagues.
 
It got a little iffy there when Fort Recovery was talking about their football team leaving the MAC and New Bremen was struggling to get enough players, but the ADs seemed to work through it pretty well.

the only thing they should have done was require that Anna joins the league in ALL sports.....not just football

With that being said, I have no clue what FR has coming up.
Wouldn't be surprised if the Indians go through another rough patch. If we couldn't win with last years seniors, it'll be tough sledding for my pessimistic foreseeable future.

NB had a string of classes with very few boys in it and that lead to the talk and their struggles.

I'm a Coldwateronian and this is not lip service, but when NB and FR made their runs I was almost as emotionally invested in them as I am with CW.

CW is 1.
MAC Is 1a.

Leauge harmony is not normal but we are lucky. Cherish it.

Luckily 4 wins may get em in depending on there OOC.

However...they maybe lucky to get 4 . League as a whole will be down.
 
i don’t see any major realignment ever happening in the MAC. they’re set for a long, long time.

only thing i ever see as remotely possible is adding Fort Loramie and dropping Parkway/DSJ. unless we see a Shelby County League team add football which i absolutely don’t see happening without major growth.
 
Minster wins the State Track Championship today.... but it wasn't the girls... Coach Larry Topp and the boys beat Mcdonald 41-39........

Awesome 4×400 to lock down championship. Another Mac school was also in finals too. ML.
How many of those boys play football?
 
didn't realize that the Minster Boys are the first MAC school to win a State Championship in track..... i would have thought Versailles or Coldwater would have won it all... and what a shame is that last years boys team was probably favored to win it all too... Thanks CHINA!!!

i know they lost a couple assistants.... they have some teacher openings... not sure where they sit, if the adminstration has worked to get a teacher that is actually coach or not... they have had trouble with doing that in the past... maybe they can ask Minster Machine or Crown if they hired people that might be interested in coaching too...

Currently sitting at 7 Coaches. I believe they posted an opening for a Social Studies/Intervention Specialist and Assistant Coach. I believe Coach Whiting will do the whichever doesn’t get filled.
