I would assume someone from up North. My memory may be off, but as long as I can remember, every region has been represented at the Elite.

Hoping for Ignatius, that would give you the 7 best teams in the state and Centerville playing on their homecourt. Another instance where the Elite has better competition than the state Elite 8

Spot on BB, Panthers take the match in 3, 26-24, 27-25, 25-18. Elder trailed 19-17 in 1st set, 15-10 in 2nd set. State Polls should be interesting this coming week with the Elite looming next weekend.

Moeller beat LaSalle tonight 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, 25-21, so the Big 3 have all won a match and lost a match against one of the others. Maybe Darby takes advantage? I expect a close poll between Elder-Moeller for 1-2 with edge to Moe based on head-to-head.
 
Looks like the cincy big 3 are all pretty comparable this year.

Although I predicted Elder to State in an earlier post, I'm now taking X and Moeller to State.

While I think Elder is the best coached, I normally take the teams with the best outsides. From what I've seen it's Pung and Bowles.

I do think regional final locations will play a major factor. Home court advantage are a must for any of these teams.

I saw most of the first match, and all of the second and third.

Darby/ South was a high level match.

South/ Moeller seemed kind of flat, and Darby/ Moeller had more energy, but not the level of play of the first match.

Darby and South have more overall talent than Moeller IMO.

After watching this weekend my rankings are as follows.

1) Darby
2) Elder
3) W. South
4) St. X
5) Moeller
6) Ignatius
7) Beavercreek
8) Northmont

I might be missing something, but Darby is returning everyone from last year but the setter, and their freshman might be the best in the state.

I guess we will see how the experts vote in the state poll before the Elite.

Same coaching that beat Darby in Illinois. I'd lean more towards high school players being inconsistent. Is the Moeller OH2 still out hurt?

This will be an awesome tournament. Don't see Centerville or Beavercreek winning it, but would not be surprised if any of the other 6 teams come out on top
