Wanted to make sure I got this one posted up tonight:

St Xavier def. Elder 25-21, 25-20, 25-18

Based on recent results, the rankings should be:
1. St Xavier
2. Elder
3. Moeller

X seems to be in the driver seat, beat Moeller at home next Friday and wrap up the #1 seed.

Elder closes with 3 tough matches out of 5:
5/6 vs. Centerville @ home
5/9 vs. Darby @ Northmont (part of tri-match)
5/12 vs. Alter @ home

Moeller has a tough road ahead themselves:
5/5 vs. Alter @ Alter
5/8 vs. St X @ St X
5/15 vs. Centerville @ home

Score reporting from Saturday was pretty sketchy.
Some results with no scores, and lots of matches with no results at all.

Surprised to see Walsh fall to Beavercreek.

Congrats to the Wildcats for finally taking down Darby. Should be interesting to see where the coaches seed these two teams. My guess is "what have you done lately" will push Davidson into the #1 spot on many ballots.

Not sure when the voting for regional seeding occurs, however Darby could stay ahead of Davidson with a win over Elder this weekend provided the vote occurs after Saturday's matches.

Most regions vote ahead of the meeting, so Saturday's results may or may not have an effect.
The South and East in DI will have some serious intrigue. Also in the East DII will be interesting to see who amongst the big 3 gets matched up in the semis.
DeSales & Mt. Vernon would want to avoid St. Charles in that match.

Elder put the boom on Centerville last night. Wonder how much the commute had to do with it

That's not an excuse. One hour is nothing. Also it isn't like they just rolled off the bus and played. They were able to hang out in the gym and warm up all the same.

I am just trying to figure out the top 5 in the State here. Centerville takes X to 5, Elder and X go back and forth with each other in 5 game matches, followed by a 3 game whoopin in favor of X, then Elder whoops Centerville in 3.

1. St. X
2. Elder
3. Moeller
4-6: Darby, Davidson, centerville

Not exactly sure where Walsh has gone in everyone's rankings. Earlier people had them at 3 above Moeller and just behind Elder and X. Now they're barely top 10 in everyone's rankings. I think what many of you don't know is that when Walsh lost to beavercreek they didn't have their starting lineup. OHSBVA knows this and that's why they kept Walsh at #1. They have swept all competition in d2 and have only legimately lost to Elder in 5 and X in 3 (best of 3).

Walsh was missing one player out of their starting rotation.

I still consider Walsh to be a Top 5 team but even with one player missing I believe they still shouldve beaten Beavercreek. Although it depends on the player missing, does anybody know?
