The word is quite a bit but I am picking mine up tomorrow. I will let you know. I just know it won't compare to Massillon's sales.

The game will not sell out but if the weather is decent I expect a huge turnout. People know that St V is worth seeing and Massillon is the best place for a game there is

I remember the 1981 game between these teams where the Irish missed a field goal at the end of the game to lose 9-7. Both Spielmans playing for the Tigers. That was the only loss that year for the Irish and they went on to win the state championship.

I think it this a much closer game than many are predicting. Always look forward to games at Paul Brown. Great stadium and hosts. Should be a crisp clear night perfect for football. Hope both of the teams come through it healthy.

Massillon has an outstanding stadium, an awesome fan base, and an outstanding tradition...no doubt.

Really?
Didn't anybody ever teach you that bigger does not always mean better? St VM has heard this for years, including last year. Size does not matter in football. Just hope credit is given to whichever team wins tomorrow night. I don't want to hear any excuses from either side after the game. May the best team win.

Another interesting bit of info. SVSM has beaten the Tigers twice in history, 1981 and 1988. Both years, the Irish won state titles.

Tells you what kind of team it took to beat Massillon back then.

Yes that's true. However, the Irish lost to Massillon in 2012, yet when on to win the championship.

You are right. I made a mistake. First mistake this year!!

SVSM defeated a very good Massillon team in 1991, 28-25. The Irish went on to lose to Lake Catholic 35-14 in the state semi-final. Lake Catholic won the title that year. The Tigers went to the state semi-final, losing to St. Ignatius 14-13. That one still hurts.

I expect this to be a very close game played by 2 very good teams. St.V has some big time players as do the Tigers. I honestly think that which ever team turns the ball over fewest wins this game. for Massillon it is crucial they don't let Campbell get the ball in the open field as much as possible. And if im St.V I would blitz all night long at Clark. it will be interesting to say the least and im looking forward to a great game!

I have thought about this game quite a bit as far as a prediction. I see SVSM as about 2-3 td's better than Massillon, however I thought Fitch would beat Massillon by 10-14 points and they escaped with a 3 point win at home. SVSM is a top 2/3 team in NE Ohio.

Prediction: SVSM 34 Massillon 23

We'll give you one a year, but now the pressure is on to pitch a shutout for the next 2.5 months!

Game day!!! I am beyond excited for this game. I wish I was heading down there now instead of leaving in 8 hours. This should be a great one. Obviously, the Irish rarely win this game. They have to tighten up the offense and keep playing great D. If they execute and aren't sloppy on offense, then St V-M has a very good chance. I'm not going to predict the outcome because it's such a tough place to get a win. But I like our chances!

Here's to a well played game with zero injuries. Go Irish!
