Article: Beavercreek defeats West Carrollton 69-56

West Carollton won the final 28 minutes of this one, 56-54, but lost the first 4 minutes of the game 15-0, as Beavercreek upped its mark to 4-1 on the season with a 69-56 win.

W.C. comitted 5 turnovers and went 0-5 from the field in the first four minutes,as the Beavers ran out to the early lead.

The Pirates rallied to get within 9 points with 2:12 left in the 4th quarter, but Creek senior Kyle Rader hit two free throws at the 1:09 mark to clinch the home victory. Rader tallied 21 for the game, 17 of those in the first half. Senior Jalen Camper led Creek with 22.

The Pirates benefited from 21 Beavercreek turnovers. Conner Myslowski netted 22 points for W.C. Byron Whatley scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half.

Beavercreek, playing without Junior post Tyler Reasoner, whose injured ankle may keep him out for more than the originally thought 2 weeks, played to a balance attacked again, with junior Jarred Waters scoring 12 points, grabbing as many rebounds and blocking 4 shots and classmate Airius Moore adding 10 points and 5 rebounds.

The varsity made the night a clean sweep for the Beavers, who won the JV and Freshman games as well.

Beavercreek will open GWOC Central Division play Friday night at Northmont. West Carrollton (3-1) will travel to Lebanon for their GWOC South opener.

Sounds good. The reason I pointed out that there was another thread for this game was not to imply that the "article" should not be a separate one, but to alert people who are interested in reading more about this game.
