WoodyHayes - Rest In Peace
I just wanted to alert everyone on here of something that happened last week. WoodyHayes, who posted on the football forums quite frequently was my brother. He was from Massillon but resided the last few years in Texas.

He passed away Friday morning of a massive heart attack before work. He was in fairly decent health so it came as a shock to our entire family.

I know he loved getting on here and jabbering back and forth with you folks, especially around Stark County and Texas football. I thought I would let everyone know that his posting will now be silent. Godspeed to WoodyHayes.

I am sorry for the loss...he added colour to the board ...and will be missed ...at first I thought he lost a bet ...to read was a shock.. kinda puts things in perspective...ty for posting ...prayers ...

That's awful. Woody was an enjoyable contributor to this board, so I'm sure he was even more enjoyable outside of it. Sorry for your loss.

Wow so weird to feel somewhat connected to a complete stranger, but kinda shaken by this one. He was just posting late last week..... RIP Woody and God bless his family and friends.

I always used to jack him about being from Jackson. He loved the Tigers and it was really ok. We had some personal talks. I will miss him on here and most importantly, God Bless him and his entire family. So sorry for your loss. Perry 67

LOL. I don't think he ever got over the fact that he went to Jackson and not Massillon after our parents moved. He sure had no use for them although he did letter for three years in wrestling.

RIP Woody. He was a big time Yappi contributor. 3446 total posts. Last one made on 11-8-12, the day before he passed.

Sorry about your loss Egret. Thanks for letting us know.

Lost my cousin in a sudden heart attack. Never see it happen and honestly it is hard not to think about it all the time. I like many of his posts and he wasn't afraid to tell it how it was. My prayers go out to his family and yours Egret.
