Wish they had a challenge left - I think, because of the no reaction time, Joey had a td in the first period.
How mat wrestling in HS if reffed in Ohio does our guy NO benefit at the next level.
NaTo had problems on the bottom with ONE guy. One. Sadly, we saw it last night. Speaking of Lee - he is a Hawkeye I can root for. Total class in his post match interview. No punkish actions on the mat that I see from literally every other IA guy. #Respect

both penn state and osu recruited 4x and nat high school champs. Why do penn wrestlers and the team continue to win nat titles? Lee lost to desanto, bresser and nato so he's not the freak everyone makes him out to be. Nato was the better and more experienced wrestler. if you cant get off the bottom than your done at this level.

This is your opinion and absurd. You must hate David Taylor and Kyle Dake too then right? Jordan Burroughs too?
Do you know Hall personally? Have you ever spoke to him? I like the emotion and passion. I don't like bad sportsmanship. Hall showing passion is fine. Wrestling needs it. Sports need it. Not NBA taunting. True passion and fire is awesome! Hall flexes and yelling excitedly after making it to the finals is fine.
The wrestlers I mention above get animated as well and I am a huge fan of these guys. Simma down now...

But the possibility of upsets are part of the reason we watch.
Watching the freshman come in a tear things up last night was exciting. Why? Because they wanted it....BADLY.
Some of these "older" guys are just biding their time. For example, Dean Heil, getting pinned in the consis, actually looked relieved afterwards. I enjoyed the ride though. Good luck to everyone of 'em.
Looking forward to tonight. Especially 141. Gonna be the match of the night. Two crazy dudes getting it on.

I have to say that you have an interesting take. I'm a fan of the Buckeyes and Coach Ryan but I was thinking some of this last night.
It's almost like something has changed in wrestling. That the freshman and sophomores are in their prime for Folkstyle wrestling. This has been going on for awhile now with Freshman winning championships and then struggling to do it again. It almost reminds me of gymnasts being in their prime in their teen years.
I just think it just shows that you have to have that passion and desire to win non stop and keep working to improve with your craft. Look at Lebron James. Best player and teams constantly gunning for him and the Cavs are getting waxed.

I prefer how Retherford and Nolf handle themselves. Personal preference and I still hope Zahid smashes him. Sorry.

I like those guys too but Retherford has done interviews that he likes his pin move because it hurts the other guy. So you can like it all you want. Doesn't make Hall a punk because you want him to do things your way.

Nato did know what was coming, but there was little he could do about it. Lee is just a vastly superior wrestler

Having officiated and watched Tomasello for years, I am amazed at how good Spencer Lee must really be. He sure showed it last night.
Color me impressed.

Spencer is coming off a major injury as well. He is unreal and it has been touted that he was next up and coming superstar for awhile now.

I don’t know what to say about Micah. No secret his best position is on his feet. No takedown attempts at the end of the third or overtime to win. Smh
