** 60 minutes story on Lakeside Coach Frank Hall **

On Sept 13, CBS "60 Minutes" led with a compelling story on Lakeside Coach Frank Hall, and how he chased the shooter out of the cafeteria and out of the school, when he worked at Chardon HS on February 27, 2012:

Worth watching!

Just saw it live. Wow. He gets it and the kids he's around are lucky to have him.

Great scene at the end with him talking to both teams.

Just watched it. Great segment. As he said, shame it happened that anyone even knows of him. I think it's a sentiment many of us would share.

Wonder if going wanting to be away from walking down that hall everyday and maybe seeing flashbacks was part of leaving chardon. However I thought it was incredibly stupid that they said the community didn't want his name in it and they didn't want him to get the satisfaction of his story being told, but yet both happened. Should have left out the re-living details and called him Jon or something and focused on the one detail of the kid that got shot in the back, the football and extra community stuff he did and that was it. OR don't even mention the part about the community wanting his name and story out of it, because if someone didn't know about it since then, then bam all they have to do is Google chardon shooting tj and they get his name, story, everything.

He's a good guy actually lives in Jefferson and Coaches up at Lakeside. I think he has 3 or 4 boys that he's adopted also and all are very good athletes in Jr. high and below.

A fine tribute to a great role model. Wish there were more like him (but no more shootings in schools)

Hall's in a tough coaching spot at Lakeside. Schedule is tougher now and the culture from middle school up takes time to develop. He is the man for the job, but he'll need the time and success may not be measured by wins.

Tim Armelli, who is interviewed earlier in the piece, was a defensive back starter on Benedictine's 1973 state title football team.

Here's wishing Coach Hall the best at Lakeside. Ashtabula has had winning teams in eras long gone by and I hope he can build something up, against both the odds and their bad geographic positioning too, up in the far NE corner of the State.
