Gabriel Tagg was quoted in the PD that his half of the bracket will be a cake walk. I guess he forgot that he lost in the first round last year. And if my memory serves me correct Andonian pined him in 2016.

126 looks solid. One might even say "stacked".

In all seriousness, some great quarters:

Burnett and Norwood in the same Quarter, opposite half of DiSabato.

Likewise Hepner v Roselli, Sutton v Disabato. Carmany v Thomas .

Looks like things distributed very well at 126 IMO.

Team race can be REAL interesting between Eds and LaSalle, as I have each team placing nine with their remaining qualifiers winning a match.
Eds losing Richter at the district makes it this way. Had they lost O'Malley, it would have been even more interesting.
Brecksville at seven placers and Elyria on six lead the battle for third.

138 QF3 looks brutal. 4 of Boro's Top 10 all in that Quarter.

I was assuming the round 1 matches were the ones to look at; based on past years( especially last year), it would be disrespectful to look past the 1st round match ups. Yes, G. Tagg wasn't the only 1st round upset last year.

Do you comment every time a St. Ed's kid makes a silly comment to a local paper. If you do you missed some silly comments made by St. Ed's kid last week. They are teenagers and they say things before they think about it. Did Tagg make his road easier to the finals by winning districts. Yes, but does that mean he will get there. No.

Would you rather the road be Fields/Breeding or Ward/*Saito*?

That was the consequence of winning vs. losing last night based on today's draw; and what was known is that Tagg winning put him opposite of Fields (barring some sort of ridiculous upset) and Kazimir/Breeding based on results at the site.

I'd rather the latter than the prior.

After that disrespectful comment towards the wresters in his bracket, he might have made his road harder.

160 d1 top half. Holy cow as far as rankings go. There’s so many great matchups but I suppose skimming along that stuck out

I'd Bet he was misquoted. He just as likely said it would be NO cakewalk. The reporters covering high school sports aren't exactly Woodward and Berstein.

Once again D.Howard (St.Eds) D-1 #195 gets a great draw at State where he will finish 2nd & will not be the second best wrestler in his weight for the second year in a row.

What does St. Edward have to do to hold off LaSalle? Do they need at least 2 champs and 9 placers?

138 - Both Heard and Andonian will have tough semis. Andonian needs to win this match to keep Eds in it.

Shouldn't you be talking about who's going win at 195? Only a loser will say who's going to come in 2nd when they didn't even wrestle. Now pretend your smart and tell me who you think will win the 195 title?
