Ohio left out of any new DA clubs

Now that Ohio was NOT chosen for any new DA clubs in the 2018-19 years, the earliest the Cincinnati DA Club will see ANY competition will be 2020.

Anyone know of any clubs that applied for DA status in Ohio and didn't get it? And why? How will this effect Cinci DA, ECNL and HS soccer for the next 2+ years now? A monthly CC I have with college coaches thought this was a total surprise.......

I guess another question to ask is when will the Cincinnati ECNL club see competition? Seems to me there is a ton of competition already between DA and ECNL here in Cincy.
