Ohio Capital Conference League Predictions

With OCC league competition this week - what is everyone predictions for the boys and girls races?

Anyone see any surprises in the conference? Any close/intriguing battles to keep an eye on?

Here are the divisions as well as my personal predictions for the girls sides.

Buckey Division:

No real surprises here. Don't see a scenario where the liberty girls don't walk away with the title.

Olentangy Liberty
Olentangy Orange
Westerville Central
Olentangy
Westerville North
Westerville South

Central Division:

Similar to the Buckeye. Don't see a scenario where the Hilliard girls don't walk away with the title.

I think that Dublin Coffman could finish 2nd in the division and upset the Bears from Upper Arlington.

Hilliard Davidson
Dublin Coffman
Upper Arlington
Marysville
Central Crossing
Westland

Ohio Division:

This is a race where I could see Lancaster pulling out the victory on their home course.

Lancaster
Gahanna
Pickerington Central
Pickerington North
Reynoldsburg
Grove City

Cardinal Division:

I think that Thomas Worthington is too strong for the rest of the field and shouldn't have a problem winning the title here.

Thomas Worthington
Hilliard Darby
Hilliard Bradley
Worthington Kilbourne
Dublin Jerome
Dublin Scioto
Delaware Hayes

Capital Division:

While I can easily see New Albany winning - I think Big Walnut will find a way in a small field to eek out the win!

Big Walnut
New Albany
Canal Winchester
Newark
Groveport-Madison
Franklin Heights

Your thoughts?

For the Central division I agree that Davidson should win, but think Marysville may sneak in for runner up. As for Coffman, we will need to see about a couple of health issues. Maybe we could be second if everything goes well, could easily be 4th even if we run well.

In the Buckeye, again depending on health, I think Westerville Central has a shot at the runner up spot.

In the Ohio I think that Gahanna and Lancaster should be comfortably in front of the rest of the field in a race like this.

In the Cardinal Thomas is clearly the favorite. The size of the field means it is hard for me to see how the next four will finish.

In the Capital I agree, I think Big Walnut will be able to pull out a victory. Though it would not surprise me at all to see New Albany there.

I will comment only on the OCC Cardinal Division.

I agree that Thomas Worthington should win the girls race.

I believe the TWHS boys will win also. Thomas' 3, 4, and 5 ran well on Saturday, and if that continues, it will be hard to beat them with low sticks for Jha and Payne.
