Well, those divisional placements appear to disagree with the divisional placements found here http://ohsaa.org/School-Resources/Di...s-track--field. In fact, they appear to align with the divisional placement data from 2016-17.

So today we heard at our seeding meeting that all the regional sites will have four teams and sixteen individuals advancing to the regional. For us (Central Ohio D1) that is a change from last year's 5 and 20. But I looked up the information on the NEDAB web site and it still says that all of the teams in the NE will go to Boardman. In D1 that would mean 23 teams with 4 qualifying. For those of you in the NE is that correct?

Yeah that is what I saw. But we were told that what was posted there was not accurate and above referenced publication from OHSAA was correct.

I sent an email to Dale Gabor asking for clarification.

Mathking,
That can't be right. I'm not sure who to contact down there for clarification, but we've been told repeatedly, and you can see above that it is still posted, that our regional will send 28 and seven in D1.

I just looked at the OHSAA site, and it agrees with what you told us. It also indicates that there will be five teams qualifying for the regional in the Northwest. That would mean 4 of those 5 teams would go to the state meet, while 4 of the 24 teams in the Northeast would go. I understand we've dealt with foolishness in the past, but I like to think that has to be wrong.

Yeah I think that it can't be that dumb, and the four teams qualify is boilerplate text that was accidentally used. But I emailed Dale Gabor for an answer.

Heard back from Dale Gabor. The distribution is what we all thought it would be, with unbalanced regionals. Not the only/exactly four teams from each regional. Hopefully the OHSAA will update what is on its web site soon.
