Any hopes of taking the senate or the house in 2018 is nonsense. Just look at the maps, the math is too strongly against the Dems. Trump could bomb Canada and the Republicans would maintain control of congress.

Ummm....I don't think that's correct.

"Itís not known how the incident affected the election as many Montanans already had voted through absentee ballots with the state reporting late Wednesday that 73 percent, or 259,558 of 357,596, of absentee ballots have been returned."

Seriously, the report I heard was that over 2/3 of Montana's voters had already voted before the incident occurred, so the bodly slam wasn't a factor in the win.
That and the guy running against him was a dweeb. McConnell played part of a folk song the guy sung during his campaign. We seriously can't make this stuff up.

The current Governor of Montana is a Democrat, narrowly reelected on the same day President Trump won the state by 20 points.

37% was the number being cited on Tuesday. I'll see if I can find the article.

What I'm looking at says 68 -69 percent of the votes counted were cast before the polls opened on Thursday.

Call me crazy but can't both numbers be correct?

259,558 Absentee Ballots Returned (73% of absentee ballots requested/37% of total registered voters)
357,596 Absentee Ballots Sent Out
694,000 Total Registered Voters
