The succession of QB prodigy's continues at StX with Sean Clifford's younger brother Liam (Class of 2021) already at 6'1" 170lb sporting some wheels and throwing a nice ball

He's impressive and quick! It will be a different story in high school but he looks very promising.

There is another kid that was supposed to be coming in from Walnut Hills Drew Britt, He is a pretty decent young quarterback too. I talked to his dad during the season and he told me they were coming over to X. Havent talked to him lately to confirm.

St X has proven lately that if you perform on the field, you will get recruited at the highest level. It can't hurt that the last 2 QB's are both heading to elite college football schools.

I believe Sean has at least one D1 offer too. Indiana State possibly. There's a video of him on Twitter dead lifting 700+ lbs on the trap bar. Kid should be a wrecking ball this season.

Just keeps getting tougher to get varsity playing time at StX.
Often times because of the D1 level player ahead of you it requires you to flat out get better, switch positions or wait your turn (graduation, injury etc)

With the younger Clifford brother coming and Wyatt already in the buildings the QB situation is going to be a tall order. Good news is most kids with the size and athletic ability to play QB at a high level are good enough athletes to play elsewhere.

Look at the QBs walking the halls at StX right now: Sean Clifford, Chase Wolf, Nathan Kappers, Wyatt Hudepohl, Jared Kreimer and Will Dolle.
Only Sean Clifford is graduating and incoming is Liam Clifford, possibly a Walnut Hills transfer and others.

Half of this year's starting defense will play D1 college football.
A few others will play college at a lower level

The offense could approach 5 D1 players.
Several are a shade small but there is no shortage of talent and heart.

LG #66 Evan Deters Sr. 6’2” 250lb
C #58 Jack Dirksing Sr. 6’2” 230lb
RG #59 Matt Mohn Jr. 6’4” 265lb
RT #79 Jack Kirby So. 6'5” 285lb
TE #88 John Taul Sr. 6’3” 210lb / Marshall Lange So. 6’2” 175lb
WR #12 Andrew Wittrock Sr. 5’11” 170lb / #11 Nick Shamsi Sr. 5’11” 170lb
WR #10 Jared Kreimer Jr. 6'0” 170lb / #83 Max Rueve Sr. 6’5” 196lb
Slot #8 Cam Specht Sr. 5’9” 155lb (offer from Butler)
QB #2 Chase Wolf Sr. 6’2” 195lb (Wisconsin commit) / Wyatt Hudepohl 6'2" 190lb
RB #20 Matt Fox Sr. 5’11” 175lb / #22 Chris Payne Jr. 6’2” 205lb / Kellen Newman So. 5’7” 168lb

I dont recall Paris ever playing offensive line, so I would say it will be a very steep ramp for him to learn the position; and be ready to start on varsity this year with no previous experience on the O-line at all. In youth ball he played DE and a little receiver . DE is what he played on the Freshman team, I think that it is a bit overzealous to think that he will move to a completely new position, and bypass all of the JV/varsity linemen from last year, and move up to starting tackle. I hope so but think it is highly unlikely.

I'll double down on Johnson.

Watched Drew Britt's hudl video.
Even though it's just 7th grade (8th grade highlights not added) he looks like a decent athlete.
The incoming frosh camp that is the week after next should be interesting as usual

This is why I would like to see Kappers come back and play his senior year.
Stay involved in football at a high profile school in case baseball doesn't provide a ticket to college or employment in the big leagues.
He could turn out to be a heck of a WR with his size and athleticism.
Sophomore year he showed he can run with the football.....Kreimer was the same way.

Not sure how he would fit in to the depth chart but having a tall athletic kid in the fold is always good. I'm sure arm / shoulder health is the concern. My argument would be at corner where it's unlikely that he'd get dinged up. Not sure he has that kind of speed. Missed out on a ring last season. They have at the very least a fair shot at repeating. That may be enough to bring him back.
