Regardless, of how few hits D-3 has had (I could name a couple dozen that have had success in D-1 College), this is a thread about the top contenders for state qualification from this district. THIS IS NOT A DEBATE ABOUT HOW MUCH BETTER D-1 IS THAN D-3!!!! DUH! D-1 is better, move on or start a whole new thread about that. Besides, no State qualifier is horrible. There are some that aren't great, but come on, you have to be at least pretty decent to make it to state, even in the weakest weight class in the weakest district ever.

That's nonsense. I watched Bodkin win the Brecksville Invitational at HVY beating Nash, a D1 competitor and two-time placer.

Gaige Willis may have very well won 220 at any division. I think McCloud/Willis is an interesting matchup. Willis did beat Stein during the season if I recall.

I was shocked by the jump from D3 to D2 at the state level but then the jump to D1 was overwhelming.

Obviously there are exceptions (Monroeville 4, Romero, Jaggers...), but they are not the norm.
This is true to some degree, but I still think the Alliance district might be the toughest district in the state, since they obviously split up the top NEO D1 teams so they aren't all murdering each other. There is no attempt to do so in D2.
