Irish fans have to be surprised with a state title this year. Their team was very young. If they get Bronny next year I canít see them not doing 3 in a row.

Both teams did an excellent job of limiting the other's transition baskets. (Trotwood 19 points off turnovers to only 8 for the Irish). Trotwood had only six fast break points; but the Irish had NONE! The Irish won this on the boards with a 35-20 advantage over the Rams. (a 14-7 advantage on the offensive boards) And they salted the game away with Scott Walter going 6-6 from the line at the end of the game.

The Irish return all significant players with the exception of PG Scott Walter next year. And while they will certainly miss his floor leadership, they have another good on in Seth Wilson who will take the full reins of the team for the next 3 years!

Is there really a chance he won't end up at St V? Unless the family moves out of town or he goes to one of the "national" prep schools (for the great education of course) I can't imagine LBJ having him play anywhere else

When it comes to LBJ, anything can happen! The thought was one of the reasons LeBron came back to the Cavs was so his son could go to St. V and be coached by Dru Joyce. If I had to guess, I'd say if LBJ stays in Cleveland, his son will definitely go to STVM. If he signs with the Lakers, he'll move his son out with him and he'll go to one of the LA basketball powerhouses. If he goes anywhere else, his son will likely stay in Akron and go to STVM; but there's a greater chance that he'll go to one of the academies.

This is PURE conjecture! I have no inside information and I am just speculating based upon what I've seen transpire over the past several years.

Maybe Nance Jr. can talk Lebron into having him go to his home public (Revere) . And before anyone calls me an idiot for thinking this could happen, this of courier a joke . Better chance the Cavs sweep Golden State in the finals , then that happen.

Also is Wilson related related to Curtis Wilson who played point guard for STVM back in the day ?

Nope. Seth Wilson grew up in Lorain! Played there as a young un with the group that made the D1 final four.

Or to Buchtel! Both transfers from last year's SC team didn't even win District championships with their new school. You reap what you sow.

Do Catholic schools even have enough Catholic students to play CYO ? Or is their student bodies like their sports teams mostly non- Catholic.

Kind of a loaded question. SVSM has a lot of kids and parents that want their kids to play for Coach Dru. Like most Catholic schools it’s fair to say some kids would not attend and the parents wouldn’t want to pay if a gifted athlete were going to be in a lesser athletic programs. There are plenty of students that attend these schools for the schools themselves and are not Catholic. The success of SVSM for sure has helped them with attracting kids and probably tipping the scales towards non Catholic more in sports and the same for Hoban compared to the student body. Walsh has tipped more equal. There is not enough catholic feeder schools for the three high schools to survive on Catholic school students alone. Irish’s dig is from another thread but I really do congratulate their success and I do not care if the kids are Catholic or not. Their success is unmatched.
