Ed's battled till the end to their credit, and are gonna be really, really good next year, but this Jax team is just way better than this Ed's team. Not even close. Moeller will be a helluva challenge. Undefeated and #1 all year for a reason. Should be an awesome State Final. Good luck to the Bears.

Pretty sure Moeller will man, they are undefeated and been ranked #1 all year for a reason. The fact that they held that ridiculous Pick Central lineup to 47 is awfully impressive. Should be a helluva final. Go Polar Bears.

Not really what one, at least me, would expect in a state semi game.

Great Job by Jackson. They attacked the press and finished strong at the rim. Ed's was uncharacteristicly sloppy. Jackson came out smokin and the Eagles never recovered. They whittled the lead down to 9 early in the 4th and I thought "here we go we got a game" - then Jackson quickly pushed it to 14. Jackson is as good a team as I have seen this year in any division. They will be tough to beat Saturday.

Jackson was very impressive, and not a team you can expect to beat when you don't bring your A game. They seemed to quell every St. Edward rally effort (or should I say Tommy Schmock rally effort), who could never really recover from the second quarter run Jackson went on to open up a double digit lead. The 11 first half turnovers were brutal. Credit to a stingy Jackson defense, but a bunch were the result of sloppy passes and boneheaded plays. Jackson's interior length made it difficult for the Eagle guards, who rely on dribble drive penetration, to finish at the rim. When Ed's was able to kick it out and find open perimeter shooters, they just weren't knocking down shots. I thought the refs were calling a lot of touch fouls (on both teams) for such a big game, but oh well.

Good luck to Jackson today. Moeller is a great team and I expect a good game.

I was really expecting more from Calhoun in the paint with the Jackson size - but he was a non factor. He was so bad in fact that Flannery went with Chambers and others over him. They needed him to neutralize that Jackson size in the paint. Give the Bears credit when Flannery went with speed over size trying to press Jackson into turnovers they found the mismatch under the basket every single time. Well coached squad. Schmock played as hard as he could and without him this is a laugher. He is a lot like Jerry Higgins of VASJ the way he is undersized yet finds seems amoung the bigs to score tough layups - over and over again. I thought Ed's would really have something for Jackson and that it would come down to the final minutes. This D1 championship game is going to be good.

Great game by Jackson, they are the real deal. Pushed us off the 3 point line and when we tried to go inside the big guy swatted our shots away. Should be a great finals game and best of luck to Jackson tonight. You have a great bball team.

Dribble drive penetration by St. Ed hurt Jackson the most. How many times did Schmock get to the basket? Findlay's getting a good one in him. And the Huffman kid should have an amazing career.

Agree that Schmock kept Eds in the game. Kid is tough as nails and crafty. Wish him the best at Findlay. I know Eds is young but Schmock will be very difficult to replace.
