Another thing to consider is that even though a D1 team is allowed to give out 9.9 scholarships that doesn't mean the school has fully funded the soccer program. They may only have 5 full scholarships to divide between 25-30 kids. For example, I heard that Findlay (D2) only had 1 or 2 full scholarships to divide up.

Also, NAIA has more scholarships but look at some of their rosters. Lots of international players on their rosters. NAIA also has different rules so many of those international players are older and could have played professionally.

As some already said, get good grades, good test scores, etc. and you'll likely get more money.

Oops...didn't realize I was in the girls forum so the info about total scholarships, Findlay, and NAIA could be wrong for girls. Sorry. But the link is still a good link to reference.

For girls D1, the max is 14. For D2, it's 9.9. Otherwise, your points are spot on.
