They got crushed on the boards. They did a nice job running when they had chances and slowing it down in the halfcourt, but Moeller is just so much more fluid in their offense and very athletic overall.

Turnovers killed them again. They just don’t have a go to guy that can spur the Offense, and you can only throw the ball around so many times before it gets taken away.

They seem to have found a little something as they just played with two solid teams well into the 4th Qtr on back-to-back nights. Will be interesting to see how they do with Oak Hills this week and then against LaSalle and St X the second go round.

They no doubt play incredible defense and get after it. I don't know that it matters all that much when you can't score. But I will admit the effort is incredible.

For alot of things we rail on the staff for doing wrong, I'd like to know their secret sauce for getting kids to consistently play THAT hard.

In saying all that, basketball is more than just playing hard.

I know JV was playing around the same time but did see Keller and Harp in the team photo ahead of the game, but no Keehan, Walker or Nieman.

They probably knew none of them would be needed. I think in the next few yrs, who wins the GCL will be based on how well the Big Men play. Duncomb and Williams are studs for Moe, E needs Larkins and Nieman to really be those kind of players for them.

They seem to be dressing kids to varsity in addition to Tony Walker. Not really playing them any though.

Larkins vs St Xavier
Miller, Keehan, Nieman vs. Moeller
Harp, Keller vs. Cov Cath

I f’d up the score, but it was apparently 32-27 going into Q4. They’ve done a good job slowing the game down, but it’s tough to win these games when you can’t rely on someone to score.

This year is what it is. Still holding out hope they hit the reset button for next year and really give the current Sophs a shot because they can play.

They’ve got to, otherwise they’re sending a direct message feelings matter more than winning. There’s no possible argument you could make that bringing back all of these juniors makes them a better team in 2020.
