LOL, nice try. But, there's that little Federal League title issue that is kind of in the way. Oh, and the need to win to keep a first round home playoff game.

McKinley has given up a lot of rushing yards this season and Perry has given up a lot of passing yards. The team that does the better job of not doing that will win.

Hold on stop the show... Us Youngstown guys know mckinelys coach Reardon very well. Hell of a guy and a great coach! Perry got a good one too but vastly superior? Stop. Perry is down this year compared to their last few runs. McKinley should roll.

Yeah Perry eats clock, but if you take the 2 Canadian teams out of the mix they are giving up 23 a game. I believe McKinley will exceed that.

As a Bulldog fan, here is how I look at the final two games of this season. If McK and Perry play a "close" game this Friday, then McK loses in Game 10 next Saturday. BUT, if McK wins BIG over Perry, then the chances are good for the Pups to finish with a 10-0 mark!

I like the quick strike ability of the McK offense, and the "bend but not break" nature of the defense. I will be at both games to cheer on the Bulldogs.

Good luck to all... Go Pups!... sam McK'68

I dont have a horse in this race, but I would like to see McKinley get the W in this one. Me and a few buddies are making the trip up to Massillon week 10 to catch the McKinley vs Massillon game and I'd love for it to be a battle between two 9-0 teams. I'm just a big HS football fan and love catching some big games. That's why I'm glad its played on a Saturday. I can watch my team Friday night and still get to catch this rivalry game on Saturday. I'm hoping it's as good as last year's game was.

Mckinley fans, what means more? The Fed trophy or the Victory Bell. Start thinking about the Tigers and ignore the poor, hapless Panthers. Perry will be so intimadated coming into Benson that Pups won't even have to dress their starters. Take heed!

See JAF' post earlier. NO chance of that happening. Our coach won't let it happen, and neither will our West Point quarterback.

I think we all know how this game will go.Perry running through McKinley with ease and McKinley passing through Perry with ease. But McKinley can also run the ball now. There well balanced.

Whoever Execute's better and wins the turnover battle should win the game.Oh,and the special teams.

Good luck Bulldogs!!

Victory Bell means more. And that means playing your best game Friday not halfassing it. A for effort but sorry Perry fan.

Ditto Massillon. Need to be sharp Friday vs. Louisville.

Perry has to play better defense, plain and simple, especially getting people down in space. It’s been an Achilles heel in every loss and at times in the wins. Now they are facing a team with probably one of the best offenses in the area.
On offense with the backs they have, this years line hasn’t been executing on a consistent basis as the last 3 years did.
The Panthers will have to do better on both sides of the ball to hang in there and give themselves a chance to win.

I still think McKinley will win, but I sure as he!!would not want to be playing a Wakefield-coached team after a loss like last week. I promise you this is a brutal week of practice for the Panthers.

Big ED, you bring up a great point about the o-line , so tell me how in the Hell does the 6"5 280 lb Vinny Scuiry kid not play offense ???? I know for fact he's better than at Least 2/3 of those lineman right ??? And when will Wake ever take blame for maybe a bad gameplan, scheme instead of always bashing our kids in the press ??

Perry will score but they don’t have the firepower and the pass D to keep up with the pups.

The last 4 years WE have been blessed with a lot of talent. BUT those kids on those teams bought in to what we were doing. TEAM. Fight. Effort. Discipline. NOT just what Coach Wakefield was coaching but what WE were doing as a football team and community and the TEAM concept is lived. It is what you do all the time. This may be the youngest group with some serious talent in certain places but not a great amount. The difference is they don't get from Sophomore to Junior To Senior without learning the lessons. To get everybody doing those kinds of things you need more than just a few kids returning. We have several but Perry had I believe 30 or more Seniors last year. A large amount of the guys that are putting it together this year did not play as much in the previous years ...Sophomore year and Junior year. Total buying in means the entire team. "Getting it" as Wake says. Setting example. Getting It. Fighting. Effort. It gets better as the season progresses. IT will come. Takes time. "We can do it" BigEd. Go Perry. Buy In!
I don't think you were referring to me I think you were just making a general statement, because I have no kid in the fight besides being a fan. But if our line is part of the issue how does Scuiry not play O-line? And was Coleman being punished last week or was he still not healthy

Cool I wasn't referring to anybody.

I remember the old days. Parents still feel that somehow their kids are being slighted. I believe it happens everywhere at times. Years ago things were out of hand with what this or that coach said in the paper. It gets twisted and sometimes it gets BAD. Guy south of us is gone because of a strange rude crude remark he made for all to hear. It WAS bad. I want to say for sure we will show up Friday. Go PERRY. Good luck to both teams. McKinley is the fave but I know we will still play the game. I don't talk about who is hurt or why a player isn't in. Most of the time I wouldn't know.

Great points, but you always know more on here than you let on, you are Mr Perry and I applaud you for your devotion to the program. Your loyalty is 2nd to none. As a non parent I just find it odd Wake NEVER takes blame for anything, nor do his coaches, it's always the kids fault for lack of effort, toughness, etc etc, been that way for years. Maybe with this group its catching up to him and they're just not buying in. Who knows. Mckinley I would think is a heavy favorite this year, but the ole' ball coach has pulled a rabbit out of his hat b4. We shall see

Did you want a coach like one of our previous coaches in the “drought?”

He would apologize to the kids for not putting them in position to win. The kids were the ones walking out of the locker saying, ”my effort was fine.” And we had a record that showed that... Wakefield has higher expectations for these kids. Thank God he pushes them... translates into a lot of other areas of life.
