Stark County:

Girls team competition should be close with Jackson vs. Louisville. Jackson won by 2 on their home course a few weeks ago. Both teams have continued to run well since then.

Don't see any boys teams challenging Jackson unless the Polar Bears have a really poor showing. Jackson's depth is too good. A few other teams have good front runners but no depth.

Istnick vs. Cole should be a good race for the girls individual crown. Cole's teammate Kiko could surprise.

I assume Moore will look to control the boys race from the gun. Will Lutton try to go with him? Can Akers find the form that made him the Stark County boys individual champion in 2017? Can Snellenberger run with the DI boys?

East Canton boys should easily win the DII-DIII standings. The DII-DIII boys teams are as weak as they've been in awhile. If at full strength, Minerva girls should easily win the DII-DIII standings. Much like the boys, a lot of the DII-DIII girls teams are either way down from last year or still haven't come back up from being down in previous years.

Biggest question right now is: How dry will the course be? It likely took some wear and tear from hosting the Malone Invite last weekend, and then there has been more rain the first few days of this week. The next few days are supposed to be dry but not entirely sunny. The race day forecast is looking pretty good so far.
