Not as long as there are:

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys
3. Giants
4. Eagles
5. Packers
6. Rams ( next yr)

And the other network darlings. Browns might get 2, but they will be against the teams above.

You seem to forget that the networks LOVE them some Baker Mayfield.

Kind of a pipe dream, imo. If Dorsey gives up two 1st's for him I think a lot of the fan base would melt. The Cowboys stupidity in the Cooper trade has further inflated OBJ's value.

For you PFF guys and Barkley nuthuggers...

Running back Nick Chubb, the No. 35 overall selection, is the top rated rookie running back out of 60 despite the presence of New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley. Barkley was the No. 2 overall selection. Chubb carries an 88.8 grade on Pro Football Focus.

I would have been happy if the Browns gave up a 1st rounder for Cooper. He is 24 and definitely has the ability, not sure why he tailed off in Oakland.

As for OBJ - no thanks.

If I said he was a "wasted" pick, which I HIGHLY doubt (you're SPINNING things to suit your agenda, AGAIN) then that was wrong. What I did say, which I firmly stand behind, is that using a top 5 pick on a RB, when your O-Line needs built and you have a sh!tty QB, it's stupid, Barkley Nuthugger. They are wasting a year of his talent. And those numbers still weren't as good as Chubb's, a pick taken a round later.

Heard about a tweet that said when the Browns play the Bengals and Hue Jackson this week they should send out 3 team captains for the coin flip wearing the numbers "3, 36 & 1."

The only reason they wouldn't get anyone "worth a damn" is because of the Haslam factor. This is probably one of the top 3 most desirable HC gigs in the NFL....11 draft picks, slew of young talent, young franchise QB, boatload of cap space and a proven, and VERY good GM.

The Browns HC job will be very attractive this offseason.

With some of the young coaches doing well I would not be surprised if they didn't get a young OC, or an aging one who has been a very good OC in his career.

I will call it now......it will be a very big NFL name or Riley from Okla State.

The franchise is ready to blow up.

Look at the AFC North.

STeelers: At the tail end of their run.
Bengals: At the tail end of their semi okay run.
Ravens: Stuck in the mud and not so sure Jackson is their answer at QB.

The division is for the taking. Browns don't even need to hit an absolute HR in the offseason to start the take over.

How long do we have to hear about the demise of the Steelers? Some people on here had them dead after 2 games this season, As long as BR plays (I'd guess 2 years after this one) the Steelers will be at or near the top in the AFCN. I agree that going forward the Browns will be the main competition. When you have top 5 picks years for 5-6 years its hard to keep screwing up. Although I'm still not totally sold on BM. By the time BR does retire the Steelers will have a competent replacement and still be very competitive. It's just what they do.

Maybe Mike Brown can higher some former defensive coordinators from the 1 and 30 something Browns. Mayfield is gonna Mayfield today. May even plant a flag on the 50 after he throws for 350 yards.

Mayfield will soon be the best QB in this division when THeRapist retires. And no, it's not "just what the Steelers do." You claim to be a long time Steelers fan" but between Bradshaw and TheRapist, Pittsburgh had trash QB's (Malone, Brister, Stewart & Maddox). Pittsburgh lucked into #7. Finding a franchise guy is easier said than done.

and climbing....

Any draft in which he is a team's third selection and the first two picks are not being lamented has to be a rousing success. Mayfield looks like the real deal, Ward is leading the CB Pro Bowl vote. Only a fool would second-guess Dorsey's moves at this point in the season.
