CHL baseball 2019

Taylor is riding a 3 peat looking to make it 4.

returning for Taylor is CHL POY Jake Hughes
Lead off Hitter Luke Hannum will be CF and ready to go (was out early last year due to a football injury)
INF'er Max fries returns (hit a HUGE HR in the win over madeira to win the league)
Pitcher CJ Riga will return as well. Riga and Hughes 1-2 punch will be tough

Losing Spivey and Hausler may hurt a little bit at the catcher/P spot
but ive heard there is a freshmen in the building (Heath) who most likely could be the starter at C when the season starts.

lineup could see 6-7 seniors

------------------------------

madeira losing Wirsing is going to be hard to fill kid had one of the best arms in the CHL i had seen in a long time. Also thatcher .440 hitter will be hard to replace. Megois returning will be huge as he finished 2nd in hitting (.477 and 5 hr) tyler richmond could pace the Offense

--------------------------

Indian hill will need to fill the void with Bradford , King and Brockoff graduating.
King lead the CHL in batting (.579 3 hr 25rbi)
Teddy Taylor should have a great year with 5 wins last year as a Sophmore
Oakes should have a great senior year

--------------------------

Wyoming may be the sleeper in the league. Very young talented team. Those young guys got some good Varsity action last year
Pretty sure Pagan was their Leadoff hitter last year kid was a freshmen
Pagan and Kadish both were freshmen and hit almost .380
All of wyoming sports are having great runs right now and baseball wont be any different
---------------------------------------------------

losing HAAS will be big for reading 42k's on the mound.... .345 hitter 2hr...vanderpool is another big loss 18 SB , .317 hitter... Flege is another key loss 3 wins on the mound

Androne will have a big year hit close to .390 27rbi and had 3 wins on the mound

-----------------------------------------------

2018 standings
Taylor 13 - 1
Madeira 11 - 3
Reading 8 - 6
Indian Hill 8 - 6
Mariemont 7 - 7
Wyoming 7 - 7
Deer Park 2 - 12
Finneytown 0 - 14

my projection for 2019

Taylor
Madeira
Wyoming
Reading
Indian Hill
Mariemont
Deer Park
Finneytown

I caught a little of Taylor's DH sweep of New Richmond on Saturday. I haven't paid that much attention to Taylor in the past, but came away thoroughly impressed with their whole program. Their ballpark, fan support, coaches, and players all looked top shelf. Up until about five years ago Taylor baseball was an afterthought. Why is it so different now? Coaching staff, new school, new commitment to baseball?

Taylor has had good baseball teams in the past. CHL champs in 01 and 02. You probably haven't been around that long.

8 league games played and 6 of them were huge blowouts. I thought the scores were ridiculous until I saw some scores on the girls softball page. Deer Park outscored Indian Hill 53-0 In 2 games. Taylor outscored Mariemont 51-1 in their 2 games.

Indian Hill knocks off Wyoming to move into a tie for second place. If Taylor beats winless Finneytown a second time they lock up a share of their fourth consecutive CHL title.
