West Branch Softball Preview
Quote:
West Branch intends to make more noise on the softball diamond this season after one of the most successful seasons in school history.
Here’s 5 things to know about the Warriors:
TWICE AS NICE
The Warriors bring two experienced pitchers to the fold after posting a 23-5 (13-1 Northeastern Buckeye Conference) record last season. Both pitches are seniors. Kylie Coffelt, who was 11-2, and Kelsey Byers, who was 12-3, have been successful alternating pitching assignments since they were freshmen and haven’t skipped a beat.
“They’ve been pitching well during the preseason this year,” West Branch head coach Jennifer “Sis” Woods said. “They work hard on their pitches. They can throw hard and they both throw a very good change-up.”
Freshman Jordan Anderson, a left-hander, gives the Warriors pitching depth.
