AFC Divisional: #3 Jacksonville (11-6) @ #2 Pittsburgh (13-3) - 1/14/2018

The Jaguars are bad match-up for the Steelers. Bortles sucks as a passer but his running ability is trouble, the Steelers have struggled to stop the run recently, and the Jags' defense is probably the best in the league.

If the Steelers win, it will be late on a Boswell FG.

20-17

I have no faith in Bortles. If Jax had a decent QB I actually think they could win this game. The Jax. defense is good, but they are not going to hold Pittsburgh to 9 points again.

Steelers should win this going away but they will keep Jags in it somehow.

Steelers 27
Jags 17

I think Jax's D keeps them in the game, but Bortles turnovers will put them in a bad spot.

Jax defense going to have to force Ben into some turnovers too. Steelers should have such an easy game plan against Jax. Stack the box on Fournette, and make Bortles throw it.

Roethlisberger won't have played for 3 weeks and has a history of bad performances after bye weeks. I'm not expecting a good game from him.

You also might wonder how healthy Antonio Brown is also. I know he might be ready to play, but those kind of injuries take a long time to heal, so he might not be as effective. I hope your trend stat about Ben is right, because I would like to see the Jags beat them again

The Jags did not shut down a banged up McCoy even though the Bills have almost no passing game. I think if Pitt stays patient and RUNS the ball they will dominate TOP and wear the Jags D down.

I predict Pitt wins this one 23 - 10.

This is going to be different. I actually think that his 5 picks thrown in that week 5 loss guarantees a good game from him.

Week 5 was Ben WORST game by far!! But as bad as he was, just take away 1 pick 6 and make it a steelers TD, it's tied at 16 late 4th quarter. No way Ben repeats that. If he is average Pittsburgh wins going away

Sports-Replays prediction is not final yet. They have the Steelers winning, 21-14 with 6:06 left in the 4th Q. Jaguars have the ball 1st/10 at their 47-Yard Line. AB has 10 Receptions for 163-Yards including a 18-Yard TD Reception. www.sports-replays.com/replays

Is weather going to be a big issue for this game? Are the jags in for a shock with the likely wind & cold? The wind in last weeks game against Buffalo really seemed to screw-up Bortles passes (and they aren't that good to begin with) drop the temperature 40 degrees and is the over under on the # of Jags completed passes 5?

high of 18. low of 7. don't think wind is a factor.

Jags are 1-8 in games (reg season and playoffs) where temperature at game time is 25 degrees or less.

I don't care if the high was 81, and the low was 70, it won't make a difference. I bet the Steelers roll. They been talking this Jax defense up all year. If their defense is that good, then we shall see it, in a very low scoring game. But I doubt it

Is the 1 against the Brownies?

Steelers 23-16. It will be a tight game unfortunately.

i thought they won a playoff game in Pittsburgh in Tomlin's first year. not sure temp that day so it may not be that game.

That's not the one. Wiki claims it was 39 at kickoff for that game.

IIRC, the Jags won a December game in Green Bay around that time frame when the temp. was in the single digits or lower. It was a 4:00 kickoff.

EDIT: Found it. It was at Green Bay during the Del Rio Era, but a few years earlier than I thought. Geez, I'm old!

I want Pittsburgh to keep winning so they can lose again to New England and I can listen to all the Steelers fans cry. Itís like a weeks worth of entertainment.

Maybe, some day, Browns and Bengals fans will get to cry again when they lose an AFC Championship game. I won't hold my breath.

Fournette injury could really hurt the Jags. Especially being up 21-7
