If the OCC were smart, they would tell all members to keep the last two games of the season open, and allow for the champions in each division to compete in an OCC Semi-Finals, and Final. Everyone else would play a team with the same seed in another division. This way, if you finish last, you can play two other teams that finished last in other divisions, yet at the same time, make winning the divisions worth something. With 5 teams, take the best 4 according to coaches votes.
Can you imagine last year with Pick North and Liberty meeting a week before playoffs at a neutral site like MAPFRE Stadium? Would be great for Central Ohio.

Given that these games wouldn't count in Harbin points, this won't happen.

Why would they not count for Harbin Points? Keep Week 9, Week 10 open. This would actually help middle-of-the-pack teams get an opportunity to play someone else who would be in similar position, need a quality win to get in.
Not to mention, if you are in the OCC Semifinals, very likely scenario you already clinched a home game, those are essentially your 6-2, 7-1, 8-0 teams at that point.
Would much rather see this than Liberty playing Tim Hortons Academy from Hamilton, ON in Week 4(which that shouldn't count at all towards Harbin points, don't even get started, garbage!). You don't need a month of non-conference games. Have 2, one against someone you can beat, another a challenge from outside of the OCC.

Schedule has to be finalized before a certain date. "Open" dates in Weeks 9 and 10 would not be counted.

The conference championship games as part of regular season is a pretty good idea

Zanesville had 20 wins last year in baseball...I think they were 20-5, that's not too bad if you ask me.
