Who got screwed or left off this list? There are a couple players who deserved consideration.
I think everyone of these guys is very deserving. Woodley has an argument but I'm not sure who you take off.

The names on that list are not going to change much in the next few years.

Probably be SJJ's starting line-up, the way they've been working the man for us routine.

Couple solid wins for the TAAC tonight. Ottawa Hills beat a good Eastwood team and Stritch beat Swanton who seems to be better than their record.

Big win for both TAAC teams last night. OH went 32-38 from the free throw line which is ridiculous. Big win for them to get some confidence heading into tournament play after losing some games to the upper half of the league teams. Big win for Stritch too, the bigs from Swanton will make some noise in the tournament, and should give OH a tough matchup in the sectional final should the Bulldogs beat Lake (which they should)

Maybe, it's all politics as usual. I'm sure coaches have favorites in the league and depends on who may or may not have had good games against certain teams. Like always guys on maybe not the greatest of teams that avg more points but do they first team nods or should it go to a guy that is better on a better team that avgs less. All subjective. I'm assuming woodley got 2ed team??

Well that was a quick exit for MV. Lack of experience and coaching showed up in that one. Mv more talented but edgerton played harder and took it to the hawks. Should be a great one Friday night.

Some real tough match ups for the TAAC.

Stritch, Ottawa Hills, Gibsonburg and Toledo Christian will all be in dog fights that could go either way.

Northwood, Danbury and EC have no chance.

Many of the smaller rural schools play an old school style. Hard nosed D, 100% effort, don't take many 3's and shoot high percentage shots around the rim that get the opposition in foul trouble. The shots around the rim limit long rebounds that lead to run out layups. You have to earn every point against tough half court D. They don't have the wild swings and huge runs that a 3 point shooting team has, but they can also win the ugly game on an "off" night. The style may not be exciting to watch, but in a 1 and done tournament it is less risky.

The teams that quickly recognize what is working that night and can play either style are scary in the tournament.

Different social media sites have fan bases not in love with the MVCD coach, is he on thin ice? How about Rogers? Lots of talent to be 11-12 and gone in round 1.

MVCD coach is also the AD if im not mistaken. It would take big time donor with an unhappy kid or a loss of enrollment for them to make a move.

Coach and AD conflict of interest. Worst coached game no adjustments at all! Best point guard? Really doesn't play defense and jacks up 20 footers.

MVCD coach was hand picked by the previous, Robinson, correct? That's stability regardless skilled or not. I don't think of b-ball even being on the radar of the MVCD board. Is it?

Turnarounds like that, I usually imagine something behind the scenes as a cause, not coaching. Scott didn't show a lot of development through the season. Games against Rogers, a 4 pt loss to a 25 pt loss to a win? Rogers showed inconsistency throughout the year. Possibly deflated losing to Bowsher in the city championship game. Who knows. There's more to the game than "talent."

The previous coach was an assistant under Robinson. His name is slipping my mind, Arthur I believe was his last name. Was the coach I believe until this season. Not sure on all of the circumstances. Im sure TTOWN could do a much better job. He seems pretty in tune to Prep Hoops Ohio and the age of league opponents' point guards.

AD fired him mid-season last year, and he took over the team.

Well, credit for willingness to take the heat instead of sitting in the office but maybe use the off-season to find a coach if MVCD is looking to enter the country day recruiting traditions.

The young man is a good player, but who are you going to take off?

Yes, Woodley's numbers warrant 1st team without a doubt, but the team results play into it. I think the decision came down to Woodley vs Jackson and not Woodley vs anyone else.

No way you can put two MVCDS guys on there ahead of the 2 from TC and 2 from CS. Those teams finished ahead of MVCDS and went 4-0 head to head vs MVCDS.

Then you look at Seiban, former POY whose team tied MVCDS for 3rd and split head to head. Of the top 4 teams Seiban by far had the weakest supporting cast.

This falls under be careful what you wish for, but I would have liked to see Woodley play more than I did. In the Stritch games he was limited by foul trouble and never really got going.

I do remember a couple "wow" he can play moments, but couldn't keep it going.

I agree Smalls. I seen the Woodley kid play a couple games myself and both games he was a non factor against OH and CSC. He showed flashes of potential but lacks consistency to be a junior and probably the tallest player in the league. He needs a lot of work on basics such as making uncontested layups right at the hoop ...seen him miss 2 or 3 in one posession. I think the coaches of the league got it right and I think we'll see similar results for the district in terms of the selections. I don't think MV will do much of anything in their league until they get some real basketball players to help Jackson. Woodly is not very skilled nor does he play strong or agressive. The other kid, Jett, who's also a freshman is athletic but very raw in terms of his level of experience and the new addition in the Kynard kid who's also a guard is not compatible with the team. They have a bunch of role guys who are not willing to play their roles and obviously want the attention Jackson brings to the school and the area. I think the HC is hands are tied because he can't coach to Jacksons IQ and skill with the players he has on that team, therefore, they will continue to lose to teams they shouldn't in my opinion. Its the crabs in a bucket syndrom from what I saw.

In fact, since you do a great job of tracking stats, how many of those points were spoon fed and how many did he work for? He has good potential but for his and MV sake, lets hope it's not too late before he decides to play up to that potential. If I was Jackson and a few other kids on that team, I would strongly consider transferring and I hear thats a strong possibility. If that happens, how many points and rebounds do you think Woodly would average. Woodly needs to worry about all mentioned above and winning ball games and everything will work out for him and MV

Big win for Cardinal Stritch. 2nd District Championship in 3 years. See description of Genoa game this was a mirror image. Stritch got out to a solid lead 11-0 to begin, but made some mistakes to let Eastwood back in it. Some clutch shooting late won it.

3 of the 4 teams in the district semi finals have a ton coming back and Evergreen is real young. There will be some major battles to get out of the district the next 2 years.
